Aging Rock Superstars

Timeless is a word meaning not affected by time or age, in other words, performers and super rockstars should perform if they have what it takes to entertain and age should not be an issue. For instance, let’s take a look at legendary comedian and actor “George Burns” who's been in the spotlight performing until he passed away at 100.

According to The Quotations Page website, Burns said, “Age to me means nothing. I can't get old; I'm working. I was old when I was twenty-one and out of work. As long as you're working, you stay young. When I'm in front of an audience, all that love and vitality sweeps over me and I forget my age."

Therefore, if rock superstar legends like “Paul McCartney” and the “Rolling Stones” have what it takes to get on stage and entertain the people as they did in the past, then musical performers should perform and age should not matter. No one is too old to perform! Not even “Cher!”

In fact, the way the music business works, is like this, if the performer is the peoples' demands, then the performer should perform. If the music wants to be heard, then the performer should play their music, send their messages and make their fans happy by performing on stage. As long as the talent remains wanted by the people, then rock superstars like “Paul McCartney” and the “Rolling Stones” should perform (timeless) regardless of age until they cannot perform no more.

Another example of a timeless performer is “Andy Williams” who started singing with his three brothers in the 1930s. He is originally from Wall Lake, Iowa and still is singing and performing Pop music. He is also known to sing Easy Listening, Jazz and Country and signed with record label(s) from Sony BMG to Columbia and Cadence. It was 1952 when Williams went solo and entered into a successful musical and acting career. Then, in 2007, he appeared on a few episodes of “As the World Turns.”

In addition, Williams performed sold out tours and his singles have hit the charts. One of his singles still popular and loved today is his famous Christmas song, “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.” ...

Nevertheless, “Paul McCartney” and the “Rolling Stones” are certainly rock superstars and age should not effect or stop them from performing. If these great performers have what it takes to perform, then let them perform!

In conclusion, performers will always entertain the people. The people will always entertain the performers and enjoy a good performance no matter the age, as long as "It's The Greatest Show on Earth,” the people will always come back for more.
