Welcome to my HUB for AirCooled Volkswagen Links and Resources. I will list a wealth of links pertaining to the AirCooled Volkswagen community as well as give a brief overview of the resource and a personal review. I have been putting my little project 76 together for five years now, and a good list of vendors and information links would have been helpful. Comments and suggestions are highly appreciated and help others in their ACVW projects.

http://www.bfyobsoleteparts.com - A wealth of rare parts. Also sells used, original hard to find parts.

http://www.mamotorworks.com - Just about everything needed to keep your VW on the road.

http://www.aircooled.net - Another parts site. Not as user friendly, but I have found a few parts that I needed here.

http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com - Sells an aftermarket ragtop kit that looks pretty nice. Not really for the purists or the faint of heart since it requires cutting a huge hole in your roof. Other custom parts also available on this site.

http://www.wolfsburgwest.com - Nicely layed out site with good quality reproduction parts. decent prices as well as a good listing of parts.

http://www.evwparts.com - Good resource for aftermarket and custom parts. Turbo equipment available on this site.

http://www.vw-store.com - I liked this site mainly for the fact that they can sell you a rebuilt short-block for right around 300 bucks plus a core. That's a pretty good price considering they recondition the whole thing!!!

http://www.jcwhitney.com/VW-Parts/10110.jcw - One of the most common sites for aftermarket parts for your VW. Prices are average. Just be sure to ask a sales person about quality before you buy. You may just end up with Brazillian panels even though the listing says 'Heavy Duty'.

http://www.partsgeek.com/makes/volkswagen.html - Parts Geek has a decent selection of parts for ACVW and most prices are more than reasonable. I have not had any first hand experience with the quality of these parts, but major brands are offered such as Mahle, Hella and EMPI. Customer ratings seem to be above average.

http://www.bugmevideo.com - If you are working on your own Beetle, you definitely need these videos. Covers just about a complete teardown and assembly of a Beetle. Step by step and EXTREMELY easy to follow. (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)

http://www.ramva.org/dragenwagen/heaterchannel.html - Very decent How-To on heater channel replacement. Illustrations are excellent and detailed. Every ACVW owner should check this out for informational purposes.

http://www.aircooledtech.com/engine_build - A very nice How-To on AirCooled VW Engine rebuilding. Well worthwhile reading if you are planning on a rebuild. I review this page occasionally just as a brush up.

http://www.vw-resource.com - A very good site that I have reffered to a few times. Has a very good section on cooling. Heat is the number 1 killer of ACVW engines, so check this site out if you are running HOT! Also has a good article for adjusting your Solex 34 PICT-3 Carb.
