63Abhishek Bachan And Aishwarya Rai got married on 20th April 2007, a quiet, private ceremony attended by close friends and family. The wedding was preceded by a tradtional Sangeet (music) celebration and a Mehendi(henna) ceremony.
By Hollywood standards, the ceremonies were successfully guarded from an anticipated media circus, dramatically punctuated by one bizarre incident in which a fledgling actress - claiming to be groom's secret lover - publicly slit her wrists in protest.
The Bollywood’s most wanted couple enjoyed their Honeymoon in Venice. But the wedding has left many others enjoy the knot. ‘Aishwarya Rai’- the name sure comes with a value and the value isn’t any small- it runs into crores. Rai’s entry into the Bachchan Family has made the Bachchan clan worth Rs 700 crore!

I don't think Ash deseves some one like Abhishek Bachan. He's too good for her and for the Bachan Family. The Bachans are a royalty and I feel that Ash is just another girl looking for extra attention, fame, and $$$. Sorry Ash.. but that's the kind of image u portray. I honesly felt that Abhishek should have hooked up with Rani as they look really good together and well... i think there's some chemistry there. I'm no one to judge as I've never met Rani nor have i met Ash, but I have met Abhishek at a wedding in Hong Kong. He's very simple, soft-spoken, and humble. Has a great sense of calmness to himself... and is very fun and hyper when needs to be.
Ash has been in too many bad relationships and I feel she's not the settling type. I hope I'm proven wrong cuz I would hate to see anyone cause pain or embarassment to the Bachan family. I've lived overseas my entire life but feel connected to India through movies. Mr. Amitabh Bachan as inspired me thoughtout my life.. in all his movies.. Sharabi, Mukadar Ka Sikandar, Kalia, Desh Premi, Agnipath, Deewar, Pukar, Lawaris, Sholay, Shaan, Mahaan.. u name it.. he's a legend! And now his son carries forward the legacy. Guru, Bunty-Bubli, Sarkar, Refugee, Yuva, Bluffmaster... he's gettin better day by day.

I personally think that there is no need to scrutinise and tear apart the abhi-ash relationship the way it is being done. But I guess it comes as a package along with fame and fortune. May God bless them with a prosperous and blissful married life.:)
But the one thing I do feel disappointed in, is the fact that they failed to invite some some of their long term friends and collegues in the bollywood industry. It is true that they couldn'possibly have invited about 60,000 people to their residence. However, they could have held a reception afterwards, inviting all the uninvited guests, no matter what differences of opinions they hold between themselves. That way no bad feelings would remain within them. Somehow for something as auspicious as a wedding it doesn't bode well to keep a grudge or invite hurt feelings and if it is possible, which I'm sure in this case it is, such feelings should be nullified.
