An extremely well known Akashic Record reader is the late American psychic Edgar Cayce (1877-1945). He has been called the "sleeping prophet," the "father of holistic medicine" and is about the most documented psychic of the 20th century.

He did his readings in sleep or trance state for 43 years, diagnosing illnesses and revealing lives lived in the past and prophecies yet to come. In their entirety, Cayce’s readings cover an astounding 10,000 different topics. His work is documented with one dozen biographies and hundreds of books and tapes.

When asked what was the source of his information, Cayce replied that the first was the subconscious mind of the person for whom he was doing a reading for and the second was the Akashic Records.

“Upon time and space is written the thoughts, the deeds, the activities of an entity – as in relationships to its environs, its hereditary influence; as is directed – or judgement drawn by or according to what the entity's ideal is.

Hence, as it has been oft called, the record is God's book of remembrance, and each entity, each soul – as the activities of a single day of an entity in the material world – either makes same good or bad or indifferent, depending upon the entity's application of self towards that which is the ideal manner for the use of time, opportunity and the Expression of that for which each soul enters  material manifestation.

Cayce’s findings? Each of us writes the story of our lives through our thoughts, deeds and interactions with others. The ways in which we continually deal with our lives sets in motion possibilities and probabilities which are drawn from the same database of records.

In essence, any insights we gain from the Akashic Records really provide us with information of who we are and our true relationship to the rest of creation and the universe.
