Alcoholic Smoothie Recipes

There are many types of smoothies but the best in my opinion is an alcoholic smoothie. Well once in a while you get a strong craving that only a smoothie can curb throw in some alcohol and you have a winner. There is nothing better on a hot summer day then sitting in the evening with family and friends enjoying a few cold delicious smoothies. I love fruit no matter what kind it is but some of my all time favorite fruits are peach, strawberry, pineapple, banana and coconut just to name a few. Start with fresh ripe fruit and in my opinion and you have some perfect smoothie beginnings.


Strawberry Banana Smoothie


  • 1/2 cup Strawberries fresh or frozen
  • 1 tsp sugar or substitute
  • 1 frozen banana slices
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract, optional,
  • 1 oz Vodka or rum to taste


Directions

Blend ingredients in blender until smooth.

If you do not have frozen bananas use room temperature banana with ice cubes.

Peach Rum-Me Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fresh peaches
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 Ounces rum
  • 4-6 ice cubes
  • 8 oz Club Soda or Lemon Lime Soda



Directions

Peel, pit and slice Peaches add to blender. Next add Lemon Juice, rum and ice in blender until smooth. Pour into 6 beautiful glasses of your choice and add club soda or Lemon Lime Soda to top off.

Peaches & Cream Smoothie

  • Peach Sherbert 2 cups
  • Milk 1/4 cup milk
  • peach fresh cut in quarters
  • cran-apple juice 1/4 cup
  •  2 oz rum

Add 1 cup peach Sherbert to blender with milk & fresh peach(reserve 1 quarter slice) blend until smooth. Remove from blender set aside. Add rum cran-apple juice to 1 cup peach Sherbert blend smooth.Now using two separate cups for each mixture, pour into your serving glass. Pouring slowly swirl as you wish into your cup. Use a peach slice on the side and enjoy!

Frozen Chocolate Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 c. skim milk
  • 1 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp sugar or substitute
  • 1 frozen banana slices
  • Vanilla extract, optional,
  • 1 oz Vodka or rum to taste


Directions

Blend ingredients in blender until smooth.

If you do not have frozen bananas use room temperature banana with ice cubes.

2 cups Orange Sherbert

1/2 cup Orange Juice

2 oz Vodka 

1 fresh Orange Slice


Blend Orange sherbert, Orange Juice and Vodka until smooth.

Serve cold in a glass with Orange slice on the side.


Apricot Vanilla Smoothie

Apricot Smoothie

1 apricot halves, chilled
1 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
1 oz Apricot brandy or Vodka to taste
6-8 ice cubes

Blend all of the above with ice in your blender until smoothie consitancy.

Serve in a beautiful Champagne glass.

*Add an apricot half dipped in sugar on a long tooth pick. Beautifully delicious!

Wash and rough chop all fruit. Add items to blender, chilled liquid works well. Add your fruit and other ingredients. Blend all the ingredients together until a smooth consistency has been obtained. Serve in a beautiful glass of your choice.


Apricot Champagne Smoothie


Ingredients



  • 2 oz Apricot Brandy
  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 2 oz Champagne (or lemon lime flavor soda works well also)
  • 1 cup Orange Sherbert
  • 2 fresh Apricots cut in half & pited 

Blend all of the above with ice in your blender until smoothie consistency.

Serve in a beautiful Champagne glass.

*Add an apricot half dipped in sugar on a long tooth pick. Beautifully delicious!


Delicious Mojito Smoothie


  • 10-15 fresh mint leaves to taste
  • 2 1/2 oz White Rum
  • 2 oz lime juice
  • 5 oz Lemon Lime Soda or 7 up/Sprite
  • 2 TBSP sugar
  • 5-8 ice cubes
  • Lime Slices

Blend Soda, Rum, Lime Juice, Sugar and then add ice cubes. Leave out the mint! Crush your mint in each glass a few time to release flavor you can use a spoon or butter knife. Pour into two beautiful glasses of your choice. Stir then add a slice of lime to the side of your glass.  2 Delicious servings.


Make it the best

To adjust your Smoothie to perfection try adding one of the items below:

Lower calorie Smoothie~

  • Use skim milk instead of whole. 
  • Use nonfat yogurt instead of  regular yogurt.
  • Using sorbet or frozen yogurt in place of ice cream. 
  • Using a sugar substitute lowers calories. 
  •  Use unsweetend frozen fruit in place of sweetened frozen fruit.


Thicken your Smootie~

  • frozen fruit
  • ice
  • ice cream
  • sherbet 
  • banana
  • yogurt 
  • powdered milk


Sweeteners~

  • honey, 
  • maple syrup, a little 
  • sugar 
  • confectioner's sugar
  • Splenda
  • banana


To adjust sweetness if it's to sweet~

  • Lemon juice 
  • Lime Juice
