I have been attempting to make money online for about 4 years now. I started with MLM programs and tried a lot of the get rich quick scams that seem to always reel in the newbies.

After a year or so, I realized that I needed to decide on what I wanted to do and focus on that one thing, instead of continuing the program hopping which was getting me now where but broke and tired.

I decided to try my hand at affiliate marketing. I also continued to purchase a lot of products about how to use pay per click and about Web 2.0, which was a new phenomenon at the time.

While I did actually start making some money, I considered my results mediocre at best. There was still someting missing from the picture. I belonged to a lot of internet marketing newsletters and kept hearing about all of these live events and how important it was to get out and rub shoulders with the gurus.

So I went the World Internet Main Event in San Francisco and also a couple of other events over the next year or so. I met a lot of famous and not so famous internet marketers and I came away with a very common theme.

Everybody that has made it big, did so with the help of a mentor!

So I decided that I would join a famous Guru's coaching program and learn how to really make money online. What I found was that these coaching programs are really expensive. The norm was about $5000.

That was money that I could not come up with. Especially with the economy taking a down turn in the last year and my grocery bills going through the roof. Although I was not ready to give up, I decided that I would just have to wait and try to put some money back so that I could further my online career.

Then I received an email from Mike Filsaime that talked about one of his most successful students and how he was going to be starting up his own coaching program. I was intersested but didn't get my hopes up because I was expecting to see a high price tag.

I clicked on the link and watched the video. Right away I could tell that this guy was passionate about internet marketing. I kept watching the video and my heart sank because I just knew that this was going to be one of those programs that was out of my reach.

When he finally got to the end and revealed the price, I almost fell out of my chair. As a matter of fact, I started to get a little suspicious because the price was so low. I immediately went to Google and started doing some investigation.

I also called some people that I had met at the previously mentioned live events to see if they new anything about Alex. I looked up some of his previous products and found that this guy was giving away tons of great information for free.

I was pretty much sold. I could only imagine whatkind of content this guy would provide me for 500 bucks. He has already been giving away the farm for free.

I coughed up the $497 and so far I have not been disappointed. The first thing Alex did was showed us how to increase our productivity by planning and using mindmaps. (Something he learned from the guru's guru, Rich Schefren)
