Brian Haw carries on his anti-war one man peace protest

Brian Haw has staged a one-man peace protest on London's Parliament Square living on the pavement ever since June 2001, trying to change Britain's policy on Iraq and campaigning against all war as well as speaking out against the police state that the US and the UK already is and is the plan for the whole world under the New World Order agenda.

David Icke went along to interview Brian and the results can be seen in the video included here in the selection with this hub.

Brian Haw is a man who has decided to do what he can to change the state of the world against whatever odds he encounters. Brian is not afraid to be telling the truth as he sees it and is showing what can be done by one person who believes in a cause enough to do something. Brian is an inspiration to us all and a man I would describe as a true hero.

Brian Haw won the Channel 4's award for being Most Inspiring Political Figure of 2007 and, in doing so, he beat former UK prime minister Tony Blair by a factor of seven.

Brian is an embarassment to the government of the UK that has done what it can to silence him but he is carrying on his protest despite all the trouble and intimidation he has been given.

And as Brian says "seeing as I'm the most politically inspiring person, be inspired."

I'm inspired. Bard, thanks for reminding me about this exceptional man. I had read about him before, but I sit here in shame this morning because had forgotten about him. I left the UK 7 years ago and don't read UK papers or watch UK TV - but that is really no excuse, part of the reason maybe that I am out of touch with Brian Haw's campaign, but no excuse.

Bastard police men keeping him awake with their sirens ! Wrecking his legitimate home. Thugs in uniform is right. This has made me think ....

Wierdly - below this comment box (as it appears in my browser) is an advertisement for a war game. Which just goes to show that content-related advertising programs can backfire (sic). It also proves Brian's point - that there are a lot of odds against us if we want to change the world. Kids get war games for their computers at age 12 and get shot dead in Iraq or Afghanistan at 19 .... people making money from them all their short lives.

Thank you for your feedback, Iphigenia! Yes, war and fighting gets programmed into young minds early. My friend William Bond points out that men do not naturally wish to kill each other but are taught to do so. War is a construction created by the elite.

This man is a in inspiration to us all. If only more people had Brian's conviction, perhaps our government would not get away with so many atrocities perpetrated on our nation, and the nation of others.

I totally agree, Lou! Thank you for posting! For some reason this, which is one of my most important hubs I think, has been the least successful as you can see by it's terrible score!

Hey Bard I have only just discovered this Hub you have written on one of my favourite heroes.

I do not know why people should not want to know about this very important man, but perhaps it has something to do with their consciences?!

As one person comments on Brian Haw's 'Not the Queen's Speech'...

"once you wake up 2 the horrible truth? it`s kinda hard 2 turn back!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6h4va-TaRE4&NR=1

Nice Hub Bard, thank you once again! xx

How would Brian have fared in 1940?
