All In a Day's Work

Information Processing

Instead of toiling with their muscles in field, mines or factories, today's workers can usually be found seated within their cubicles in air conditioned buildings working with their brains more than their muscles. Today's product is information and we spend our days processing information. Included in the information produced, processed or shipped from offices world wide are recipes, photos of our children or grandchildren and jokes. The invention of first the photocopier and then email have made possible a huge increase in the amount of this information that can be produced and transmitted while still leaving some time to complete the projects assigned by our supervisors.

Here is a sample of the humor that I received in my email today. Rather than publish the whole email, which basically consisted of about 15 forwarding notices each with about 15 or 20 email addresses in the TO: line (a treasure trove for spammers), I have extracted the funny photos and deleted the rest.

Enjoy.

So True. But I suspect someone edited the text on the sign after the picture was taken.
