Insomnia symptoms and causes:-

Insomnia is the most prevalent sleep disorder found in many people.but very often it is seen we do not take it seriously until something big starts happening.

Certain most common symptoms of insomnia are given below:---

  • Having problem while falling asleep ,in this you may take long time to go to sleep after you jump to bed at night.
  • Waking in between at night and unable to go to sleep again quickly.
  • waking up too early in the morning long before you really need to get up.
  • It is not only the length of sleep(how may hrs one can sleep) that matters,we have to see whether our night was restless or peaceful one. Indeed ,it's found that insomniacs have repeatedly reported the feelings of fatigue, irritability, difficulty in concentrating in one's work , daytime tiredness or feeling lethargic, impaired at mood and feel like being lonely.
  • .Insomniacs consider that they get easily upset and suffer from memory loss problems.moreover people suffering from insomnia complain of having trouble in thinking and exercising judgment.
  • .Not only physical conditions lead to insomnia sometimes mental conditions, illness and medications also causes insomnia .

Illnesses that may cause insomnia are chronic pain(lingering for too long), difficulty in breathing, Parkinson disease, arthritis, diabetes congestive heart failure, lung disease, etc.Therefore treating the physical condition might help in curing insomnia in sufferers.Where mental conditions are concerned ,it is globally accepted that stress and anxiety may cause insomnia ,being laid off from work, loosing a beloved partner, or any such situation. If not not looked upon carefully may ultimately lead to insomnia .Even depression leads to insomnia.

substances like caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol interferes with our normal sleep and causes us to wake up from bed too early.It is seen that certain medications have an effect on us and cause insomnia. the medicines for heart disease and blood pressure,depression and allergy generally leads to insomnia sometimes drugs bought over the counter bought without a prescription all have side effects .these cause insomnia because they contain caffeine in pain medicines, or tablets used for diet control to curb the hunger.

we must consult our doctor if we see the above said symptoms in us ,beyond all we must bring changes in our daily life style and see our self coming out of this problem gradually.some techniques are discussed below:--

  • Some simple behavioral techniques to combat insomnia are to keep a sleep hygiene scheduleintact, and go to bed in time. putting yourself to sleep restriction and variousrelaxation techniques .When some or all of the techniques above are combined into one treatment plan it is considered a highly efficient treatment plan for insomnia. Many studies in this field suggest that people who suffer from insomnia and practice certain behavioral techniques enjoy a real improvement in their condition. In fact such behavioral insomnia cures do not have the side effects of insomnia medicines, and are an excellent cure for those who would not like using any chemicals to treat their sleeplessnesscondition at night.
  • Many people may try to seek natural remedies or alternative medicine to treat theirproblem. Most people use complementary medicine to treat this condition. If a pharmacy isvisited,we can see a large variety of natural sleeping aids, all are recommended to make you fall asleep . However, to be on the safer side, it is advisable we consult with our doctor before we use such natural sleep aids.
