How to Cook Almond Cookies

Almonds make these melt-in-the-mouth cookies extra special.

Ingredients:

Almonds, roughly chopped ¾ cup

Butter ½ cup

Sugar ½ cup

Almond essence ¼ tsp

Egg 1

Refined flour (maida) 2 cups

METHOD :

1. Preheat the oven at 160°C.

2. In a large mixing bowl beat butter till smooth. Add sugar and continue beating till the texture is nice and soft and fluffy. Add almond essence and mix well.

3. Beat egg in a small bowl and add to the butter mixture. Mix well. Add sieved flour and mix well.

4. Add chopped almonds and mix well.

5. Grease a baking tray.

6. Transfer the mixture into a piping bag and pipe round shaped cookies onto the baking tray. Press slightly in the middle.

7. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake at 160°C for ten minutes. Check in between.

8. Serve.
