Sounds like good news, doesn't it? That could be a yes and a no.
First, if all these statements are true (and they are) there is the small matter of the efficacy and quality of the aloe vera that is used. Then we have to look at the matter of how much is really real aloe, how much is water and whether or not the Aloe used has been properly stabilized.
There's that word again, stabilization!! And rightly so, it's the key word when dealing with the healing power of the plant. We will cover stabilization in an article of its own in the near future ...but in the meantime, when using an aloe product, just make sure that its been properly stabilized. Know your supplier.
Back to the plant now and clarify just what makes the aloe vera plant so effective, and why some feel there are some "secrets" about it that is still known to only a select few.
Essentially, the aloe vera plant contains two juices ...in the tubular found next to the yellow viscous sap in the cells just beneath the think green rind of the leaf and the gel fillet, which serves as the water storage organ.
The tubules hold the yellow sap that contains what is known as the anthraquinones, mostly aloin, which is best known as a potent laxative, (seldom used in modern times).
The gel fillet of the aloe leaf actually contains about 99.5% water, and makes the liquid usable as a beverage and the primary substance of so many kinds of treatment compounds.
So, understandably, the most effective Aloe Vera compounds available today are formulated to emphasize the positive aspects of the leaf gel fillet, while minimizing the presence of aloin and other "purging" anthraquinines.
It is the continued belief that the gel (fillet) along with the rind (yellow sap) that offer the best combination of healing components. And by all means it is the successful filtration/extraction of that mix, that combination which makes for the truly remarkable healing combination.
Five unique benefits of the healing plant:
- Penetration ...Aloe penetrates all seven layers of the skin where most lotions, liquid substances and water will penetrate only two.
- Antiseptic ...aloe has six antiseptic agents, which kill bacteria, viruses and fungus.
- Stimulates cell growth ...stimulates the birth of new, healthy tissue at six to eight times the normal rate.
- Settles nerves.
- Cleanses, detoxifies and normalizes your metabolism.
All of this explains why across time, lay persons and physicians alike have proclaimed that this plant, aloe vera has the remarkable ability to heal, alleviate, eliminate, and even cure, a monumental list of human and animal diseases and disorders.

Chaser4 ...thank you for the comment ...I have another one ready to go ...I am glad you appreciate the information. ...and you have a great weekend.
I've got 99% aloe vera gelly and it feels and works great on bad sunburns!
Yes ...S Writer ...I agree ..Aloe Vera gel is super great ...most people are aware how good it is for a burn ...but do not know the benefits of the other uses it has ...and besides it can also be filtered into a drink that makes it all the better. Sometimes people get such a bad burn that they even get an allergic reaction to it. That is when it is also good to realize that putting it into you is a beneft. My partner's motto is "get it into you or on you."
Thanks for the comment and stopping by. My best to you and your health!
Very interesting. I've recently bought some aloe vera juice, (took me a while to get used to the taste, but now I crave it!) and I'm fascinated to read about all of the things that it can be used for. I'll be working my way through your hubs! Thanks for the information.
Good to see you back Moon Daisy and glad to see you are drinking Aloe Vera Juice. Yes that is true ...I take Aloe Vera Juice everywhere I go. I would not leave town without it.
The most important thing I can say to people is make sure they are taking one that is all juice and no water or other things added. I know the ones at the popular department stores ...sell for 7 or 8 dollars and they are watered down. We say there is probably more aloe on the label than in the gallon jug.
But no matter ...get the aloe in you or on you and you'll be healthier for it. My best to you and your health ...please come by again.
Tons of useful information, I loved reading this article. I also enjoy utilizing and learning about Aloe Vera.
Olde Cashmere....thank you for your comment. A person cannot get enough of this information about Aloe Vera. I am drinking Aloe Vera Juice as I speak to you. I drink it about 4 times a day.

Please stop by again ...my best to your health!

There's a book called "Cancer Can Be Cured" written by a Franciscan friar. His recipe which he learned about, is used by some of the poor people in Brazil. consists of fresh leaves from an aloe arborescens plant, raw honey, and a little alcohol blended together.
Aloe can heal a lot of things.
The best to you.

Together we can cure cancer - one person at a time!
Very good information. Thanks for sharing it. I do grow aloe vera plants that I had started over 25 years ago but they are the tiny houseplant ones. I have used a leaf on burns several times, even tho these type are not supposed to be the real medical ones. Some amazing info here!
Thank you Kelley Eidem for coming by.
I do believe that cancer can be cured as our body is designed to heal itself. The problem is that our lifestyle does play a part in getting us sick and keeping us there. I know that it is hard to change habits that are we create for ourselves and also the ones that are passed down from our families.
I will check our your hubs too. My best to your success!
frogyfish ...thank you for coming by and for your comment. Yes ..I know that the house plants have so many benefits too. I like to have one around just because!!
So if you can see what it can do on the outside ...there are large ....much larger aloe plants that have much more medicinal benefits to drink and they are grown south of the border of the USA.
My best to you and your health!!
