There is also aloe juice available in chinese food/grocery stores that tastes great, not consentrate sweetend with sugar ready to drink!
i just wanna post that iv been drinking it only 7 months and i feel great! b4 i had very bad acid reflux i could not eat a simple salami sandwich for lunch at noon because at 3 in the morning i would wake up my whole family with my coughing and gaging but now i can eat any thing i want at any time of the day not only that but it gives me a great feeling of well being all over and energy to keep up with my 5 kids to any one out there drink it it can only help you!
I remember growing aloe vera when I was a child. We used it on cuts and scrapes. It is interesting to learn other benefits of aloe.
I love growing plants, but I never really had the chance to do it more. My girlfriend is living in a village and knows all about growing everything :) I love watching plants at her house.

I just read about aloe in wikipedia, and it states that the effects or aloe are controversial... Mostly there is no proof it does anything, where one study said pointed out it may be harmful. Try something else for your ills my suggestion.
Many people are saying it benefits them. I think I said it already, but I was taking it myself for some time and I know a lot of people who do. I don't think it can do harm, it's a natural product.
My dad is 66 years-old and her has been taken aloe vera juice for more than 20 years and he said it has helped him with his bad stomach problems and said it is the best healing juice. If he has been taken it for 20 years, he looks great for his age and is very slim, no fat on his body but of course he does a lot of physical work outside in the summer. I have just stated to take it myself and can see a diference in my stomach when I eat ice cream now, I used to have the runs, but I do not have them now when I drink the aloe vera juice.

I have a form of Zoster/Herpes just a tad below my belt line and I apply aloe vera/fruit of the earth on the onslaught of itching about 3 to 4 times a day...NO BLISTERS and the itching goes away within 3 days!!!

If you have a Whole Foods anywhere near, they sell fresh whole aloe vera leaves and they're cheap. I just cut off a section, filet the skin off and put the gel in the blender for a very short time, with some spring water.
