A wonderfully simple Aloo Gobhi Recipe from chef shakti. Basic Indian curry common all over. Best enjoyed with Roti. Aloo gobhi in English means Potatoes and Cauliflower.
Recipe Story:The all time favorite is a hit in my house. Being easy and quick my family can literally live on this curry and roti. Combine it with yogurt and the meal becomes heavenly. Aloo Gobhi is also known as Aloo Gobi.
Ingredients:2 Potatoes peeled and cubed
I Cauliflower broken into small florets 1 tsp turmeric 2 tsp each of coriander and chilli powder 1/2 tsp each of cumin and mustard salt to taste 2 tbsp oil coriander leaves to garnish Directions:1.Heat the oil in a pan with a lid.
2.Once hot add the cumin and mustard seeds. Let it splutter. 3. Add the potatoes and all the dried spices. Save the florets and salt. 4. Mix well, cover and cook for a couple of minutes. 5. Remove lid, add the florets and salt and mix well. 6. Put the lid back on a allow to cook for a couple of minutes. 7. Remove cover, stir, transfer to serving dish and garnish with coriander leaves.Enjoy with warm roti (indian bread) and yogurt.
