She was a bright, lively child and she began her show business career at the incredibly early age of eight years when she successfully auditioned for a national tour of 'Annie'. She appeared in numerous TV commercials and at the age of eleven, she got her first major role when she appeared in the TV show 'Who's the Boss?'.  This was a major event for Alyssa and her family and they moved en masse from Staten Island to Hollywood.
