Seniors face a greater risk of a misdiagnosis when it comes to thyroid imbalance. Thyroid systptoms can be confused with other signs of aging, such as mental confusion, episodes of falling, aches and pains, weakness, muscle stiffness, depression or even heart disease.


Thyroid Symtoms

If you suffer from any of these symptoms you could have a thyroid problem!

Fatigue, weight gain, aching joints and muscles, constipation. brain fog, feeling cold even in warm tempertures, dry itchy skin, hair loss,high cholesterol.

The thyroid is a tiny gland, but has powerful effects on your body.The thyroid also plays a big role in your brain chemistry.

Thyroid cancer begins in the thyroid gland, which is located in the front of the neck just below the larynx (voice box). The thyroid gland is part of the endocrine system, which regulates hormones in the body. The thyroid gland absorbs iodine from the bloodstream to produce thyroid hormone, which regulates a person's metabolism. There is so many different problems that come along with a thyroid problem so if you have these systoms by all means see your doctor and have him check.

Did not know that thanks sweetie..My mom has had thyroid problems most of her life...I wonder if that has any connection with her now Alzheimer's....she has taken pills for though all the time....and you? how are you? G-Ma :o) hugs

Thanks so much G-Ma I am doing ok done with chemo and everything is going ok just worried about dad had to put him in the nursing home, going back and forth there and started working my second job again so a little tired. But doing ok. And you is mom doing any better? Talk more latter.
