A Mother's Love
63
Amazing Grace moves me to my soul each time I hear it. Certain singers can make it even more inspiring and more moving. Sometimes, in a song, you can even feel a connection to the creator. This is what Amazing Grace does for me.
I’m sure we all have different things that move us that way and it’s probably not something we talk about much if at all. I recently saw a video that moved me in a similar way. It demonstrates a Mother's Love in a beautiful way.
Unfortunately, I do not find this feeling as often as I would like to in this life. The good news is that when something comes along that fits in this category you recognize it instantly. The conscious mind is not involved here. You are instantly transported to a different place. Your heart takes over. Now, those who have no clue what I’m talking about have my permission to punch out right here. The people who know and the people who want to know exactly what I’m talking about here please stay with me.
Now this writing isn’t really about Amazing Grace. I wanted you to understand the connection a song can bring to one’s heart and soul. You may find your connection in other things but for me it is usually music and or video which brings me to the reason I am writing this for all to see, feel and share.
I recently met Sher Stout. She is a fellow agent at United First Financial home of the Money Merge Account System. I visited her Facebook page and noticed a video she had posted. That video is the reason I am writing this today. It’s about the connection you feel in your heart and soul to your higher power, your creator when you see and hear something powerful. It’s about unconditional love.
I thought this video was so special that I needed to share it with all of you. Thank you Sher for making it and allowing me to share it. I imagine it will be viewed many times by these two people as they go through their lives together, a gentle reminder of love without end.
Since I don't know how to ad a video screen in a Hub page I would ask that you kindly click on the following link which will take you directly to the video.
Here is “Sense of Wonder” from Sher Stout.

That was a nice video and a good post. Thanks.
Bill - this hub post gives me a great view of who you are. Thank you so much for raising the topic, for in reading the topic I feel the feeling you're describing. Music does it for me too, and so does art. And so does this hub! Many thanks.
Thanks James and Amy for your comments and to Jody I would say thank you and it is sometimes difficult for us to put "who we are" out there for the world to see. This video was worth the risk. Thanks again,
Bill
Hi Bill
Anything that gives that experience of unconditional love, of joy, of our own inner connection with "God" (by what ever name each gives to that creative power) to anyone is a most worthwhile thing, be it music, a video, a memory, a meditation experience, a prayer, or whatever.
That is why we are on this earth and what distinguishes human beings from any other life form. We have the capability of experiencing who we really are on the inside, and to live in that experience all the time, rather than just occasionally, is the ultimate goal.
Well thanks Jennifer, I vote for "all the time" and that would be a good thing. Appreciate your comments.
Bill
Bill,
Thank you for sharing that video. This is truly one of my most favorite songs. Several years ago when my children were leaving for college, I gave each of them the CD and a book with these lyrics. It is just so powerful. Fortunately, I feel that they live up to this song. They have become such wonderful people.
Hearing this and reading your hub were a wonderful break in my day.
Thank you,
Angela
Well thank you Angela. That is what I was hoping it would do for people who read it and watched that beautiful video by Sher. It's wonderful when we can speak of our grown kids and truly say that they have grown up to be such wonderful people. What a success story that is.
Beautiful Bill. My daughter turns 20 tomorrow and is one of the beacons in my life. She is struggling now in college and I find it difficult to allay her concerns and fears. It was hard watching the video. It made me cry. Tears of joy over memories of my little girl. I wish I had been more technologically savvy back then. The few videos we made when she was little, with the huge shoulder hefting vidoe camera, was alot of blur, shaking, and shots of the ground or sky. I only have one combo VCR tape of my little ones.My son, 18, is the other beacon in my life. the music was a tender touch and did send a powerful message. Sher's little Ella will treasure this always. thanks for posting.
Kimi, I'm so glad you enjoyed it and it moved you. We all approach things from a different perspective based on our life experiences. I do understand. I have no video of my kids and only a few old pictures left as well. Once I saw the video I had to try to put it before others. Thanks to Sher who supplied the talent and creativity.
That is the Sweetest thing. This hub has the power to warm your heart, I love it.
Foxility: Thanks so much for your kind comment. That was the intent. Just trying to spread the love. Glad you enjoyed it.
good hub again
Great Hub Bill. I have nine grand children and they are all very special to me in their own very unique way. That's the way God made them, and I love them all.
Thanks for this hib Bill.
To embed a video click the video capsule button when editing your hub. Then go to the page where the youtube vid is and copy paste the link into your video module. That will embed it in your hub. Looks like someone got a little hot under the collar about her unauthorized use of the audio track. Youtube has disabled it.
Thank you for your comment. I don't know what to do now. I suppose the Hub will stay up or has to stay up. I have asked her to put a different audio track to the video but haven't heard from her. Appreciate your visit and your comments and your comments about putting up the video. Appreciate it.
