Amazon Kindle Wireless Readers

If you are asked about Kindle, you might enthusiastically respond by saying what a fantastic reading device it is and how it allows one to easily carry books, wherever one wants to and read them, whenever one wants to. However, if you are asked to mention what other things you could do with Kindle, you might be a little puzzled. Read on for a whole list of tips and tricks that you could do with your Amazon Kindle Wireless E-book reader.

· You can certainly use Kindle to read Ebooks but what if you are on your way to work and get stuck in traffic or you are busy cooking, and both times you were left wishing there was some way someone could read a book aloud for you. Kindle’s text-to-speech functionality does exactly that. It will read a book aloud for you when you want it to and when you switch it off, you can continue reading where it left off.

· Before Kindle came on the scene, you may have collected ebooks in all formats – PDF, HTML, TXT, DOC and so on. You can now convert them easily into formats that can be read on Kindle.
· If you like to lie down and listen to music while you read, you can do the same with your Kindle. Load some of your favorite MP3 songs onto Kindle and start playing them; open your favorite book and start reading it – now is this not the best of both worlds?

· You can even create photo albums of your favorite photos and then view them on Kindle. The new Kindle 2 has a fairly good 6-inch display screen that allows you to view photos in comfort. You can sort your photos into various categories like family, friends, travel, nature and so on and have a photo album in each category.

· Very often, while reading a book, you may come across a term, a name or a place about which you would like more information. When you are reading a hard copy of a book, this would mean getting up and having to look through a dictionary or an encyclopedia. Now with Kindle, all the information is available at the tip of your fingers. Just use Kindle’s search option and you can search through Wikipedia, Google, Dictionary or the Kindle store for more information.

· While reading a newspaper or a magazine on Kindle, if you would like to just view the summaries of the article, first go to the section list. Next, click on the number that indicates the number of the article in that particular section. If you would like to quickly browse through the newspaper or magazine, you just need to move the controller button to the right to advance to the next piece.

· If you would like to see what the time is, just press the ‘Menu’ button and the time is displayed on the screen.

· If you would like to reset Kindle, you need to slide and hold the power switch for about 15 seconds. To put it off, you need to hold it for just 4 seconds or so.
