America Is Changing Quickly, But Not For The Better
55America Is Sinking!
I love The United States of America, I'm sure most of us have said that at one time or another. The biggest question is; Do you remember what it is you love about this country? I'm not sure many people do. The leader in this forgetfulness is our President but he is challenged for that leadership by Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barney Frank. Their follower's are all elected Democrats.
It is easy and normal to blame the preceding administration for the problems any new administration inherits. To deflect problems is to protect yourself and your administration, and the media always allows a "honeymoon period." That is no longer the case, America has lost it's fabulous journalist's. Still a few exist that will research and tell us the truth. The "Great New York Times" can not be trusted, not like it used to be.
It appears that the media is "in bed with the Democrat's. Try to find a positive article on the Republicans in the main stream media. I do not recall the media being like this in all my years, and there are many of them. I have started to get most of my news on The FOX Channel (FNC). My G-D are there differences, don't stop reading now because I said FOX. Evidently too many people turn away when you say FOX, but why?
Americans used to enjoy seeing both sides of an issue, where has that gone? On all TV stations we see "ACORN" marching but only FOX tells us who is behind ACORN. Most of you don't know ACORN is run by upper class individuals that tell lower class individuals what to do. This is to help the leaders accomplish their goals, which is money and power. Please give Glen Beck (get passed his personality), Bill O'Reiley and occasionally Sean Hannity (he does harp on issues too often). Don't just pass this off, give them a real try, be open-minded.
As I said, I love my country but the country seems to be changing daily. President Obama won saying "change", but everything in less than a year? The President never misses an opportunity to mention President George Bush and his administration caused the problem: "Look what we inherited." Give it up already! We all know about the terrible budget deficit passed on but Obama has increased this deficit exponentially.
Obama has added trillion's of dollars to the deficit and he is going to add much more. With Cap and Trade and Health Insurance we will see more additional number's added to the deficit. Here is one example of Cap and Trade. If you think selling your house now is difficult, try this. Before selling your house you must make the house as "GREEN" as possible. All doors and windows will have to be caulked or replaced, your heater and air conditioner must be perfectly in order and more. Then government inspectors will check to see if meet the standards but there's much more. You will only be able to use so much electricity, gas and more. Go over your allotment and pay more money. How does this help people?
Health Care will be Socialized no matter what The President says. We will be like Europe and Canada, and that's not a pretty picture. If you don't like HMOs, man are you going hate this. But they say it's free! Ha, watch your taxes go up and wait, wait, wait for your number to be called.
Scientist's that say temperatures are going down are never heard from. Years ago they predicted Global Cooling, were they right then?
The President's choices. Many were tax cheats and some still got the job. Judge Sotomayor is overturned again, maybe this will help her. If she wasn't built up as the first Latina nominated to the Supreme Court it would be a funny story.
What is our President and the Congress doing to us? I still love The United States of America, but soon our flag may be "SOLID GREEN!

Obama, and the Congress are a horror story. Wait for unempoyment to hit 15%. What will the people do then?
The people will then take to the streets in protest, similar to the economic collapse in Argentina in 2001.The exception being that while they were hearing from Obama that the American people and the world stand in solidarity with the protesters in Iran, the A.C.L.U. was trying to figure out why the Department of Defense now considers protesting "Low Level Terrorism" here in the United States.
When the people are hungry and their growling stomachs or cries of their chiuldren cause them to finally conclude that they must see through the mists of rhetoric and read the fine print of the Presidents 7 signing statements, reneging on his promise to never issue any such statements, raising of the people's taxes who earn under 250k per year, reneging on his promise to never do such a thing.I can keep going on broken promises on hiring lobbyist, going over bills line by line etc...but it may be pointless and the smart democrats are starting to catch on even members of the complacent media will not be able to spin the coming taxation on the middle class as we and our children are forced to repay trillions, for the insatiable greed of the aristocracy.Great hub, BTW.
One of our only hopes is below.
Fox News Breaks Records on Cable News
Wednesday, July 1, 2009 10:38 AMBy: Jim Meyers
The Fox News Channel is having its best year ever and aired all 10 of the top-rated cable news shows in the second quarter of 2009.
"Since Obama came into office, Fox has continued not only winning, but doing so at unprecedented levels," Michael Calderone noted on Politico.
Fox showed a 33 percent rise in total viewers last quarter compared to the second quarter of 2008, and a 54 percent increase in younger viewers for its primetime weekday shows.
The biggest gainer on Fox was Glenn Beck.
"Beck, who takes aim at the administration repeatedly, is proving an even bigger draw since coming over from HLN: His 5 p.m. slot is up 110 percent from last year," Calderone disclosed.
TVNewser reported the average daily viewership for the top 10 cable news shows, all of them on Fox:
· 8 p.m. – "The O'Reilly Factor" — 3,188,000
And thanks
· 9 p.m. – "Hannity" — 2,341,000
· 5 p.m. – "Glenn Beck" — 2,053,000
· 10 p.m. – "On the Record" — 1,950,000
· 6 p.m. – "Special Report" — 1,889,000
· 7 p.m. – "Fox Report" — 1,757,000
· 11 p.m. – "The O'Reilly Factor" — 1,579,000

· 3 p.m. – "Studio B" — 1,169,000
The cable news show on other networks that came closest to cracking the top 10 was MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann," which had 1,159,000 nightly viewers during the second quarter.

Thanks, Harvey, for your right on opinion. I am afraid for my middle-class ageing, white female years ahead....But then have to add, "What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee". Might as well be fully politically incorrect while I'm talking. Cheers to you!
There may no be a middle class in the near future, if Obama gets his way. Remember, he is nothing but a packaged product.
Hey Stelman, good hub, and right on too. Maybe there is a flicker of hope in our sorry media. Today Helen Thomas, of all people, took the Family Guy on in the press breifing. She and fellow media flustered the family guy with the fact that Obama has his "town hall" salted with not only Dem's, but former campaign workers to ask sobby questions about what the Mesiah can do to help us with our health care. So maybe the press is tired of being made a fool of. I mean how much more blatant could it have been then when Obama said he wrestled with something all night, then rolled over in bed to ask Brian Williams what he thought. They said Williams was upset, I don't know why, maybe because he really wants to be in bed with Obama, and didn't get Obama meant figuritively, as in the tank for him. Obama has taken it for granted that the press is with him, but coments llike the Williams one, and the other one when he said " well you all voted for me", may be even to much for the press to handle. This may cause some objective journalism to surface, even if it is only a little. (ck out The politics of reaching out on my hub)
The Shark---looking for the mean sprited press that disrespected Bush
Shark, We think alike. I wrote an article earlier about what your mail said. I went to hit copy and I hit paste, LOST.
Tell it like it is. There is plenty to be worried about, brother. But it ain't over til it's over. (Yogi Berra)
You don't have to tell me about the quote " it ain't over til it's over." I grew up across the street from Yankee Stadium when Yogi played.
I wish I could read more of you writing's, but being handicapped including eye problem's my time is very limited. I'm not sure if I'll be able to write much longer. I'm not looking for pity, I just wanted you to understand why I don't reply on yours or other people's article's.
I am very sorry, Harvey, to read of your MS. My heart goes out to you. No need to reply to mine. I am going to pray that you are comforted right now.
James, Thank you so much, you're ok.
Harvey Thanks for the hub I've only been doing this for a week now but with you and the Texan and the others on your hub today I have hope. maybe we will get through this fog to see clear again. God bless and my prayers are with you on the MS my mom had it.
Thanks again Tony F.
