For as long as I, Dr. Footballstein can remember dudes have been slapping each other on the buns after a good American football play or for inspiration.

Yes inspiration? What Gives?

In American football?

The meanest, roughest, toughest of American sports?

When did this most strangest of phenomenon begin in the macho sport of American football?

Think about it. Do we really need a instant replay?

American football & butt slapping?

It seems to be a very odd pair doesn't it?

But, historically American football and butt slapping they have gone together like hand in glove.

One dude putting his hand on another dudes behind over and over again after a american football related action or actions.

Even if it was for only a split second it was a split second too long.

I don't know about you but from where I come from, one dude putting his hands on another dude's fanny - under most all other circumstances is not seen to be cool.

Why? In The Most Macho Of Sports? Amercian Football?

It happens often enough in this most macho of societies and in arguably it's most macho of games, American football to warrant attention and conversation.

And...

I certainly wouldn't call it the most sacred of phenomenon.

To the guy who started this... you've got a lot of explaining to do.

But we've got to look at the context of the action? Right??

Does anyone know how & when it started? Who was he??

What land did he originate from?

What position did he play in the great game of American football?

Does he have any descendants or family members in the country?
