American Idol's Future

Now, I should Start off by saying I've never been a particularly huge booster of American Idol, I know that it is a lot more productiove than most show sand that it can really help discover people, but, I've never really been all that interested. However, looking at the show's future intrigues me. What will happen with the show five years from now?

How I see it there are a slew of possible outcomes, they are as follows:

1. The show continues to roll, it sets a television standard as a thing of its own. People will still dream big and hope that they will be discovered, the talent will never run out. The show that started the superstardom of Kelly Clarkson, David Cook, and Carrie Underwood continues to produce famous singers every couple of seasons. The world rejoices and all is well.

2. The more likely situation, (which is the most boring), America runs out of talent. The show no longer sparks famous singers and singers that wouldn't have stood a chance in one of the earlier seasons move further into the show. The show gets canceled as the audience finally vanishes.

3. America realizes that show has also produced Clay Aiken, Justin Guarini, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Taylor Hicks, and Adam Lambert. Fans instantly lose interest and after a hugely unsuccessful 2009 show, the show goes off the air...in shame.

4. Simon Cowell Dies...show over.

5. A famous musican auditions for the show, and obviously wins. It both ruins the career of the singer as everyone now sees them as a joke and destroys the credibility of the show.

6. A bloody rebellion arizes when Fox decids to name the winner even though they were voted to lose, Simon Cowell secretly laughs and alerts the british that our guard is down, by 2013 we are once again colonies of the british.

7. Proof is revealed that William Hung is a act hired by the show to boost early week ratings and it is thrown off the air.

8. George Bush says publically that he loves the show...everyone else stops liking it.

9. Some sort of other singing show comes on the air and somehow attracts better singers, ending American Idol's run, all hail United States Hero!

and finally, Paula Abdul has a mental breakdown on tv where she strips naked and sexually abuses simon cowell, ratings soar for a week and then plumett.

So that's how it will happen...at least it'll be one of those.
