Amsterdam's RED LIGHT DISTRICT !!!
71
Ok, Ok, Ok...I get a lot of questions from others all over, especially Americans, about the Red Light District in Amsterdam. They ask "How much and How are the women"? I know, real classy people, men usually, but this is a fact of life. Sex is needed, wanted, and craved. Some have no problem getting sex, making love, finding mates, but some, others, have no shot, have tried numerous attempts to no avail, or just don't have the time or want to search. This is where the Red Light District takes over. For those that don't know, the Red Light District is areas of Amsterdam that has people in windows who sell sex, now I say people, because some windows are really men, dressed as a woman(those are the blue lights in front of some windows). Mostly, it is scantily clad women, tapping on windows, blowing kisses, and giving the occasional wink to entice a buyer.
A buyer of what? Well, typically it is 50 euro for a quickie, that is oral sex and traditional sex with a condom, but sometimes as low as 30 euro. The quickie price is usually for 15 minutes, so each additional amount of time or to buy an hour of time, generally would cost you 4 times the quickie amount, but prices and services can be negotiated. WOW! Yes, all this information I am sharing is easily available by just talking to a local Dutch person or a local prostitute. A person does not have to partake to see the Red Light District, it is a intricate part of Dutch Life and it is not uncommon for locals to have to pass women or people in windows on their way to the store. As well, the stories, the facts, the truths I have heard from prostitutes mouths, about their days spent in a window could hurt some people's so-called truth, but I stand by feeling. That legalized prostitution is a fact of life, should be allowed, most places, especially in the United States, and actually can benefit society more than it would ever actually hurt it. The regulation of prostitution and the choice for adults to consent in mutual activities seems to me to be beyond the bounds of government and/or authority. However, with most places in the world having laws making this illegal, at this point I am actually the minority, or am I?
What do you think? Yes or No; To legalized, regulated, taxed, and health screened, prostitution?

Thanks for the comments...Amsterdam is a beautiful place...One that encompasses something closer to the people's freedom...As said above it has way more to offer than just tolerated cannabis and legalized prostitution. Their is Musuems, art, music, culture, canals, houseboats, food, great people and so much more! One LOVE!

As a young soldier stationed in Germany many years ago, I traveled to Amsterdam on a sponsored 3 day pass. At the time I was a very fit and good looking young man that had no trouble finding female companionship so I did not partake of the fruits provided of the Red light district. Despite this, some friends and I decided to stay there for our 3 days and we had a great time. I met a girl from London (non-professional) that was working there as a waitress and she showed us all the best places to party that she knew. The time we had was one that I'll never forget and I recommend this great city to anyone, and I do not just mean for the vice, the city has much more to offer than legal drugs and sexual entertainment. As it was, we spent our three days in a Tea shop that had other uses. The place was not completely legal so I'll not mention it and since this was the early 80's I have a feeling that it no longer exists.
