An Aphrodisiac’s Dinner
69It the mood for LOVE? Want to help your significant other get in the mood too? There is no better way then to fill them with the world’s best aphrodisiacs! Here is an easy meal that will knock your lover’s socks off and please your pallet.
WARNING: This meal includes multiple aphrodisiacs, use at your own risk and be prepared for some frisky business!
Tips for steaming asparagus
- Cooking time will vary in relation to thickness and age of asparagus. Freshly picked asparagus requires no more than 2 -3 minutes to steam. If your stalks are very thick you may need to steam for up to 4 minutes. Over steaming makes the asparagus soggy. If in doubt poke gently at one stalk. The skin should still resist the fork but the stalk will bend jut a bit.
- Depending on how woody the stalks are, you may have to trim more than an inch off. Bend one stalk to see where it snaps, this shows you where the tenderness begins. Trim the remaining stalks at the same level.
- To add a little flavor use lemon and garlic in the water you are steaming with.
Basil and Avocado Chicken with Steamed Asparagus
Ingredients
- 4 skinned and boned chicken breast halves
- 1 avocado, peeled and cubed
- 2 (4 ounce) goat cheese
- Pinch of finely chopped fresh basil
- ¾ tsp salt, divided
- ½ tsp pepper, divided
- 1 Cup fine, dry breadcrumbs
- ½ Cup stick butter, melted
- Place chicken between 2 sheets of heavy-duty plastic wrap and flatten to 1/4 inch thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin.
- Combine avocado, goat cheese, chopped basil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper; mash until smooth.
- Spread mixture evenly over 1 side of chicken.
- Roll up and secure with wooden picks.
- Combine breadcrumbs, remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt, and remaining 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a shallow dish.
- Roll chicken in melted butter; dredge in breadcrumb mixture.
- Place in shallow pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done.
Remove wooden picks and serve with steamed asparagus.
Easy Chocolate Mousse
- 1 container heavy whipping cream
- 1 jar Kraft Double Fudge Topping
- 2 teaspoons of powdered cocoa
- Three strawberries sliced
Whip 1 pint heavy whipping cream to medium stiff peaks. Stir in 1 pint jar of Kraft double fudge topping and 2 teaspoons cocoa. Put in dessert glasses. Refrigerate at least one hour. Top whipped topping and sliced strawberries. 6 servings.
