An Artful Movie

I love art. Even more, I love making art. I was a closet artist for most of the years of my life, painting irregularly and without much confidence. Life and it's demands caused me to go for long periods without ever touching a brush, often for years, with an occassional brief surge of inspiration and need to create. Then it would return to the back burner, to be put aside, but never forgotten.

A while after my husband passed away, Art and the passion for it would wait quietly no longer and took over my life. I began to paint as I had never painted before, with frequency, boldness, and sometimes obsession. In the last three years my inventory and development as an artist have grown surprisingly. My home looks like an art museum, and I have little wall space left for hanging paintings.

I have joined art and social sites in order to present my art to the world at large, I have made many artist friends, and I have begun a business based on my art. I look back in amazement at these past few years, remembering how many years my passion for art was neglected. I remember, too, how I normally kept the few works I had done out of sight in the belief they weren't good enough to be displayed.

I am so grateful that it has changed. It's like waiting and waiting for the love of your life to come along and unite with you.

And, so it is that, again to the surprise of my past self, I have made a video of my art that I present here. It is my first and not perfect, but it brings me much pleasure to have done it. I hope you enjoy viewing it as well.
