That Breakfast Egg Muffin - How to Make
56An Egg Muffin - Not from an Eat Out
This was designed as a quick Hub, but as things happened I realized that when working on the hub editors the file size is important, they do warn you of this, this photographically speaking of course.
With my Canon E350, my standard frame image, (photo), is 3456 x 2304, which is pretty large, and takes at least 5 minutes to upload one of these onto the hubpage.
So after several false starts I have now learnt how to down size my images, in a batch using the Zoom Browser, supplied with camera. So I do not have to capture images in a smaller format. This to me is in itself, is a major bonus.
Secondly, and I think of more importance you should never try and make a quick hub, the same caring and planning of a larger hub, should also apply for those smaller hubs.
A Meal in One
Take An Egg
What you need for this quick, easy and tasty meal, either for one or four several people.
For each person
- Is an egg,
- an English Muffin,
- A dab of Butter or Margarine,
A grill to toast it under
How it came about
I was busy working on tidying up my hub, and the way my profile was looking with all the links and other comments, when I realised that I was feeling a bit peckish. As I had already started to prepare the main meal for the day, there was only time for a quick snack.
The extenuating circumstances
The stove plates and oven were occupied, as I had a batch of rusks in their as well doing the evening meal.
Raided the deep freeze, found an English Breakfast Muffin, very tasty as a base, looked in the refrigerator, no leftovers that I fancied to go with the muffin, discarded cheese, as I had that the day before.
So this was how it was done
Had not had eggs for a couple of days.
So I removed the top off of the defrosted muffin.
Scooped out the centre of the muffin's filling.
Broke an egg into the centre of muffin
Placed the filling of the muffin on top the raw egg.
Dabbed the top and the egg with a largish pat of butter.
Placed into a small table top stove,
Grilled it until the egg was cooked to personal satisfaction.
As you see this was done an an ovenproof plate, and each muffin would need to be done this way.
Use your normal oven grill if you have to do several snacks, lunches.
A useful electricity saving method of cooking

Thanks for the comment G-Ma. I enjoy taking photographs of what I am doing, as you say it lookes so yummy, you just wanna eat it.
Now why did I read this hub while i was hungry. I also do a quick english muffin meal. Cut a muffin through the middle giving two rounds. pop into a toaster. Butter the muffin. In the mean time poach an egg into a microwave poacher. Put a slice of bacon or ham on the muffin. pop the egg onto the mufffin. squeeze a dollop of fat free mayo onto the egg. grind black pepper and coarse salt onto the top and enjoy!. Now I'm really hungry!!!!
Great Hub!
I know that way, but i was being different.
I have made many versions of my own egg muffin. They work great when you don't have time to sit down and eat a proper breakfast - you can eat this on the way to work or where ever.
Karen, yes we all have those and we do need to eat properly.
For those of you on the go type of person, says, on the weekend or free time, make a batch of rusks, take one with you when your in a hurry, and have that with your tea or coffee. Satisfying and healthy.
my fav is the sausage McMuffin with egg. It's all the same stuff you just said except with a slab of sausage on it...
Mmmm...yummy!
Yes, but make it home, surprise the kids
