Great list.....apparently I was indulging too much because I have no clue what some of them are. I do fondly remember the Smurfs and Rubiks cubes. Lord knows, todays kids would laugh themselves silly at Atari......Space Invaders and PacMan.........lost many hours to those.
very apropos!
life in the fast lane...it was pretty good actually. Little did we know..but thought we knew everything. Alas, progress or the lack of has filled our 90's and 2000's ? thanks this is full of memories....
O'ma Ga-ODD!!! I was SO into SO many of these things it's em-BARRASSING?!
Thanks for the flashback.
PS: You forgot LOVERBOY and CINDY LAUPER.
Please forgive my error! Check now and they have been added... Along with THE GOONIES, which I totally forgot about too. Thanks constant.
Oh ya! The GOONIES. Loved it.
Good point everyone.... I should hub on the 90's...lol.
I think you should mention more stuff like food from the 80's... like pizza nad pezz candy and stuff...
Hi FO.....
Hmmmm. Well technically pizza (and pasta too) was invented by the Chinese in like 300b.c. and Pez Candies have been around sine the early 1950s, but I appreciate the comments regardless. I'll try to rack my braing for 1980s types of food profucts like.....
WHATCHAMACALLIT Candy Bars...... That just popped into my head and I need to add it into the hub... Thanks for the spontaneous inspiration, F.O.
Here's a few more:
Teddy Ruxpin dolls
My Pretty Pony
Robert Maplethorpe exihibit
Thundercats
Transformers
G.I. Joe cartoons
Hulkamaniacs (plus all the other clowns)
Speaking of food, there was that McDonalds sandwich that featured a tomamto slice and served in a styrofoam box that kept "the hot side hot and the cool side cool." I can't recall the name but I remember it being a blunder.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Oooooooh, Chip! Are you thinking what I'm thinkin'?????? You're my new research assistant! Good job bringing THESE into the fold.... Lemme look into the McD sandwich thingy...... Reid
Jordache jeans........Michael Jackson Thriller Jacket & Dance (was that the 80's).....and yes Solid Gold with Dion Warwick and don't forget Fame!
Boy you hit the nail on the head here, 30... Thanks for the insight1
you forgot about bmx, that was a huge part of many kids lives.
Somehow we've forgotten the icon of 80's icons: Magnum PI!
Chip & Booger.... Thanks for the inputs... I've added them into the mix...!
