I'll just make this one short and sweet!

I have a 16 year old sister and hasn't been too many years since I was also a teenager. To be honest, I see my sister doing some of the same things that I used to when I was her age.

Here are the differences between High School year 2000 to High School 2008.

Year 2000

Hip-Hop was performed by at least 95 % black artist.

Year 2008

Jesse McCartney, The Jonas Brothers and Nsync's Justin Timberlake are all considered Hip-Hop. WTH!

Year 2000

Girls wore knee length dresses during the warm months of the year.

Year 2008

Girls wear long shirts and consider them dresses and wear them through out the whole school year.

Year 2000

Parents encouraged students to be involved in performing arts like Band and Choir or Sports in order to learn team work.

Year 2008

Parents encourage students to be better than other students in any way, shape or form and if they don't succeed they tell them to beat them up!!

Year 2000

Cell Phones where prohibited on campus in school. If you got caught with one they were taken away and not returned until the end of school year.

Year 2008

If your cell phone rings in class just make sure you excuse your self from class and take the call, you won't miss anything important!

Year 2000

Sex was a huge issue amongst teens.

Year 2008

Sex is an even bigger issue amongst teens and teens hooking up with adults.
