An easy healthy gourmet pasta sauce recipe

Serves 2-3

This is a very simple and fast pasta sauce recipe which when you have finished will feel good about it because it's delicious and extremely healthy. Enjoy!

What you need

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1/2 white onion
  • 6 mushrooms
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 26.5 oz can of Hunts Italian sausage spaghetti sauce
  • 1 16 oz can of Del Monte Mexican Recipe diced tomatoes

Cooking materials- Wok, spatula


Directions

1. Slice up the chicken breasts, onions, garlic, bell pepper and mushrooms.

2. Heat the olive oil or butter in a large skillet or wok

3. When skillet or wok is ready, brown the chicken or beef in the skillet with medium to high heat.

4. When meat is browned, add the onions and mushrooms and stir fry the meat, onions and mushrooms until the onions are well roasted.

5. Add the can of diced tomatoes and chopped bell pepper. (add the bell pepper last so that it can retain most of its freshness while the sauce is cooking) Stir fry until most of the juices have evaporated and the flavors are mixed together.

6. Add the spaghetti sauce and lower the heat. Bring the sauce to a boil while CONSTANTLY stirring the sauce. When the remaining water has evaporated enough, turn the heat as low as possible and continuing stirring.

7. The sauce will be ready when it feels thick and sticks to the side of the skillet.

8. Serve the sauce over noodles, or pasta. Yummy!
