How About Save Our Children?

Why do we see so many ad's on TV asking us to support and save animals in the U.S., and so few asking for our help to support and save neglected and abused children?
Why do we see so many ad's on TV asking us to support and save animals in the U.S., and so few asking for our help to support and save neglected and abused children?

What is more important?

I do not know about anyone else out her, but I think we have forgot what is happening right here in our own backyard. Since when is it more important to ask for support of animals than it is to ask for support for our children?

Everyday there are advertisement's all day long asking for us to donate money to help support and save neglected and abused animals, ( do not take this wrong, I do think it is wrong to neglect and abuse animals), yet we rarely see any asking for donations to help neglected and or abused children. And the ones that we do usually see are asking us to donate to help children in other countries, (what about right here?), and the ones we see for our now country are few and far between.

I am sorry, but to me this is an outrage. How can we forget about the children right here in our backyards all across this great country, accept on special occasions? What has happened to our sense of taking care of our own before we take care of others? Again, I an not against helping other children in other countries, but I can not agree to ignoring the children here until it fits someones agenda and or campaign speeches to remind us that we do have a Hugh problem here.

Every day thousands of children right here in the United States go hungry, even worst thousands more go without needed medical care. Do the children of this country have less importance than animals and children of other countries? Is the only time the children of this country matter, is when it can help get someone elected to office, or get them on TV for a few minutes? Is this what we have come to?

Yes, I know there our organization's in this country that are available to help our children here in the United States. My point is, how can we allow this neglect of animals an other countries children to have more attention paid to them on TV than we allow for the children of the United States? It is wrong in my eyes, to set any group higher ( animals or children in other countries), or to show preference over the children right here in our own country.

I know that there are those of you out there who disagree and think we do more than enough for the children here, and yet others who think, that it is someone Else's problem. Okay, fine, if that is how you think and feel, then continue to ignore the problem we have here in our own country. Pretend that it does not exit here, yeah, that will make it all better. And, yet others who think that if we pay attention to the problem, that it is only to make money off of us.

Come on people, open your eyes to this the greatest country on earTh, this country is not without real problems when it comes to our children. I dare any of you to visit a prison and ask how many of the inmates there are from homes where neglect and abuse was part of their life growing up, The numbers would surprise most of you. This is a Hugh reason to stop pretending and or ignoring our problem here in the united States. or will we just continue to build more prisons? If that is the answer then at some point we will have more people in prison than we can support, and supporting inmates is alot more costly than supporting them when they are children.

Think about it. What makes more sense, supporting neglected and abuse children or supporting inmates?

I think it is time that we the people of this country start paying attention to what is going on around us. We must begin to get our priorities straight. If we do not we will have no one to blame, but ourselves, for the outcome of pretending and or ignoring a truly real problem.

MORE TO COME - If any of you are willing give your comments on what you think about this. My guess is most of you will not even read all of this, much less post a comment. Just one more example of pretending and or ignoring the real problem we have here.

I guess this subject is just to touchy for anyone to comment on, I guess I can understand, after all who wants to upset the animal activists and take the chance of being retaliated against?

It also goes to point of what has become important in this country and what no longer matters until such time that it effects them personally. So keep your eyes close to what is going on in your own backyard, I only hope that by doing so it does not someday visit its ugly reality upon you.
