Obama, Clinton or McCain- Which is our next President?

The Next President
Presidential Choices
There are a number of choices as to who the next President of the United States will be. Our primary choices are Barack Obama, Hilary Clinton and John McCain, however, Ralph Nader just joined in, and Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul and others are still hanging on without much of a chance.
I'm going to ask a touchy question: Who are you going to vote for? I realize that asking such a question is almost like asking, "what do you believe" or, "what's your stance on global warming." It's like opening a can of worms! But, I thought I'd give everyone a chance to answer just those questions with (a degree of) anonymity.
So, if you have the gusto to tell everyone, post a comment stating your thoughts on who the next president will be (or should be) and why. Will it be a woman? A black man? A former POW?

Who will (or should be) the next president of the United States and why?
Thanks Rainbow, I didn't see that you had a hub on the topic!
I had mentioned to Rainbow in her hub that I was interested to see everyone playing it safe here politically.. Guess we don't want to scare off any of our visitors! I will say this, though - none of the candidates really "wow" me, but my train of thought has somewhat been "the devil you know" rather than the one you don't. Not sure yet though. I stil want to see some battles unfold as we approach November.
Yeah I agree mrs know it all- i'm still undecided myself.
I'll be honest, none of the candidates left really 'wow' me.
I can't believe no one is stating an opinion! None of them wow me either. I don't care for Ms. Clinton. I am originally from NY, and swore that if she was elected as senator I would move. I now live in CT (it's a coincidence really, property taxes are vastly lower). I just feel like she used New York as a stepping stone. I have no problem with a woman in the White House, but I'm not sure she is a woman anyway. A robot of some sort - I'm rambling :)
haha I agree amy- I was quite upset at how Clinton became the senator in NY. A little devious, if you ask me.
And I'm a little surprised, too that only a few people have read and commented on this hub- it's actually my lowest-scored hub! I guess I have a few things to learn about tagging and titling!
LOL - I have to agree with Amy Jane and Wedding Consultant here about Clinton! Aaack!
Ok ,
since no one else will do it here goes nothing:-) I being a vet and with a brother just retired military have the utmost respect for McCain and his background. However , he is a Vietnam vet and the world is a far different place today and I don't think he can see the real picture Vs. him having flashbacks :-)
As for Hillary, kudos for her getting this far and being the first woman in this position but I question her stance on having so much experience especially since her closest view was from being first lady. I've also detected a attitude of being a victim and playing on people's fears and emotions. If this is her response during the campaign could she truly handle the rigors of office?
Last but certainly not least Is Obama the new guy on the block who shows a new vision of hope for this country. I'm not entirely sure if he can complete this goal but I also feel him as a unifying factor which this country so desperately needs. This plus his bi-racial background gives him a unique perspective of the world and we need to see and deal with the world differently given that we are now truly a global community.
So in closing I say McCain -NO too old school
Clinton- No the first time around wan't bad. Two things been there done that and which one will run things? Him or Her?
I'm leaning towards Obama as the clouds part and the angels sing-oh my:-) Just kidding!
Seriously though I think I'm willing to give the man a chance even if he's only half right bringing the country together will make us stronger to deal with whatever comes our way.
dataminer, thanks for having the "gusto" to post your thoughts! I commend you for that!
You asked for it. Obama, empty promises delivered with the best of a Black Preacher's style, Hit the emotion button. #2. Clinton- tell them what they want to hear, if you dont want to think for yourself, or care for yourself, she is offering to do it for you!! The lazy persons's candidate. #3 McCain- at least he is being honest with everyone. He will tell you what is up even if you dont like it. I can respect that. Bush does the same thing. that is why he is not liked, he will tell it like it is. #4. the one I wanted got away, Huckabee. maybe he will run with McCain, if they do that they have a chance against Obama, the man with the black agenda. Read up on it, google/ Obama and the black agenda/, It will scare you unless you are part of the black agenda. BLACK, WHITE , WHEN WILL IT END. WE ARE ALL AMERICANS FOR GOD'S SAKE,
LOL,
Now that's what I'm talking about a lively debate with quite a few months to go.
I'll be back:-)
My vote is for McCain............
I voted for Obama - what was that like the primarly election? Does it really matter who we vote for anyway? I think Bush proved during the last election that is doesnt' matter at all!
Yes, it's for the primary election. And my brother brought up the same point- voting now doesn't matter as much. The superdelegates do the actual electing, not us, technically. And why'd you vote for Obama? Just curious.
err...that should read "nominating" not "electing!"

So now that Hilary won West Virginia, do you think that will help her chances, or is she going to lose no matter what?
