The News Hound
Among the many newsmakers on the internet there is one who tops my list for being able to take a stand, and that is Andrew Breitbart.
Breitbart was always comfortable with the internet, and once referred himself as Matt Drudge’s ‘bitch’. In 1995 he was so impressed by the Drudge report that he e-mailed Drudge and told him that what he was doing was “far the coolest thing on the Internet.” He soon became an editor for the Drudge Report website. Drudge later introduced him to Arianna Huffington who gave him a job helping her launch the now popular Huffington Post website.
He left to start his own news portal, Breitbart.com, and two other sites: Big Hollywood and Big Government, but says that he still goes back daily to Post to see what the left is saying. Breitbart.com features up to the minute news from local to national to world wide, from business to political, along with blogs, videos and other news.
Like most of us, Andrew was not always a conservative, while in college he had his bouts with liberalism, and can admit laughingly that it did help him with the woman. He said he was a lefty waiting tables in a restaurant, went home after his day shift and was disheartened as he watched Clarence Thomas being trashed by Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden during the hearings, and thought that the left media’s calling him ’uncle tom’ was not the function of the media.
In a interview by Eric Olsen publisher of Technorati/blogcritics, where Olsen showed he had no interviewing skills, Breitbart said that he “Believes the media is unbelievably bias, they are not making good decisions but running away from them.“
Breitbart became my hero when he broke the ACORN and the SEIU scandals. After his success in exposing the criminal doings of five ACORN branches, he took on Hollywood by creating Big Hollywood, where he reported on this administration's attempts to use the National Endowment for the Arts to promote Democratic agendas on health care, education, and environmental policy, and posted the full video on his website, while the main stream media chose to ignore it.
Then Breitbart, as a staff writer for the Washington Times, wrote in an article that when the Acorn scandal broke Obama quickly had lunch with Mr. Clinton. Why? Obama was closely being linked to Acorn and Obama needed advice from the last president who went through a major scandal. The next day, with the advice of Soros, John Podesta, Clinton’s Chief of staff, was conveniently placed in charge of investigating the Acorn issue.
"I'm not looking to slay the dragon," Breitbart claims, "but I wanted to embarrass the dragon into being a more reasonable dragon." He believes that a political war is a cultural war, and that the left is teaching our kids that it’s easy to get laid. He believes bloggers should write in their own names, and most don’t because they don’t want to be held accountable, that it’s not smart to drink and blog, and social conservatives are adults, while the left are children.
He had this to say about the New York Times:
“The New York Times is a daily read. It always has been. The paper has its merits, no doubt. But when it comes to the political scene, its ascent into monolithic partisan hackery in its news pages — never mind the op-ed experience — is worthy of exploration granted its self-identified motto “all the news that’s fit to print” is disproved day after day when the news that hurts the political left is either ignored or distorted to site its diminishing readership’s need for political conformity.”
“My brilliance is that I’m not brilliant” he says, but it’s exactly that, his brilliance and his tenaciousness that leads millions of people to his news website daily. While he is attacked for his conservatives views and his fearless reporting of the news, he is not discouraged, he has a lot more up his sleeve, he said. “We’re creating more sites. We will be creating Big Education, Big Tolerance, Big Jerusalem, Big Climate, Big Journalism,” Big EU and more.
Breitbart with his innovative style and intense desire to report the news, despite who it may offend, remains among those newsmakers who will continue to keep the less adequate media constantly on it’s toes.
Here is a quick look at what Breitbart says about talk radio and internet news, which gives a quick overview of his beliefs and where he stands on the news.

I whole heartedly agree with your choice of a hero. Like you and Andrew I came out of college a liberal. Working my way up through the various supervisory ranks of one of the nations big four railroads I quickly changed my views. Seeing firsthand what Big Labor was all about and how it worked to support the degenerative work habits of most of its constituents I quickly changed my views on how Big Business mistreats its poor downtrodden labor force! Now I fully understand the meaning of that famous quote; “If you’re not a liberal in your 20’s you have no heart and if you’re still one in your 30’s you have no brain!”
CJ, it's a great website for all the news at a glance. Thank you for stopping in.
Partisan, I believe that most of us had a liberal streak in our 20's. But that quote is right on. Thank you for visiting this morning.
Breitbart is my newest hero, and his sites are always on top of the news. Thank you for visiting.
I love this man! And you . . . are a beacon in the darkness. May you continue to illuminate the world.
James,Thank you it's always an honor to have you visit.

Tom Whitworth says:

I saw Breitbart on CSPAN Journal a few week ago he was as fearless in answering viewer questions on air as he is in his internet publications. If anyone made a false accusation against anyone he immediately called them out. He said he wouuldn't dignify their lies with an answer.
If any caller had a legitimate question he gave a dignified answer to the best of his ability.
