Ultra Magnus is one of the characters from the "Transformers Animated" cartoon.

He's not only an Autobot (one of the "good guys"), he's the leader of all Autobots and is considered a great and powerful leader - respected by all, including Optimus Prime.

But interetingly enough as Megatron (the most feared of the evil Decepticons) hunts down the Allspark (the source of all Tranformers life), the Allspark chooses Optimus Prime and NOT Ultra Magnus as it's protector.

Perhaps the Allspark knows something about Optimus Prime that Ultra Magnus certainly doesn't know...
