^{Onegai Teacher} (a.k.a. Please Teacher!) is a thirteen episode anime, directed by Yasunori Ide and released by Bandai Entertainment in 2002. With a slightly ecchi tone, Onegai Teacher anime is mainly about the discovery of love and the complexities of intimate relationships between a group of teenagers... Of course, as you watch Onegai Teacher you'll see that lots of humor will occur as strange situations unfold!

I could include Please Teacher! in the light romantic comedy category, if there is one for anime ^_^' The story is centered around Kei Kusanagi, an 18 year old boy that discovers that his new teacher (and neighbour!) is actually a woman from outer space! And what a babe she is!

I wont say much more, but you might have figured about now that they will be involved together in many funny ways... Of course, Kei isn't normal as well... He suffers from a condition that makes him go in a comatose state - sometimes for years! - whenever he experiences some major distress... Can he overcome his illness with all the trouble that Mizuho Kazami, his hot teacher brings him? Can he deal with all the emotional turmoil that are inherent to the discovery of love? And how will he conduct a serious relationship with an alien babe?!?!

Of course these aren't the only characters in Onegai teacher. Kei is just one of a rather big group of classmates that will have their own emotional problems to deal with over the course of this anime.

My opinion of Please Teacher!, as a viewer, is a positive one! Sure, the animation is average, the soundtrack isn't awesome and the plot sure isn't worth of a Nobel. But Onegai Teacher never intends to be an epic anime. As a romantic comedy though it delivers... It portrays a nice love story in a candid way, with room for us to delight in all the innocence of these teenage feelings (and remember when we had that age ^.^) and to smile at all the weird stuff that happens.

And you know what? After all that many shows I watched, this one, as casual as it was, still manage to suprise me and even touched my heart (in a good way) in several occasions.

So, yep, that's a fine anime and because it's so short you don't have really a valid excuse to miss this one ;)
