As a young impressionable teenager, as is it is with any hormonal pubescent teen, I had a huge crush on Lorenzo Lamas you probably know him best as Reno Raines of the show "Renegade" The Trial of Reno Raines (1994). He was sooo hot! The gist of the story is there is a crooked cop, Lieutenant "Dutch" Dixon, who kills his girlfriend and then frames Reno Raines for murder. Reno Raines escapes from jail and goes on the run. He teams up with Bobby Sixkiller and Cheyenne Phillips, both bounty hunters! Reno works as a bounty hunter while searching for the only man who can clear his name. Just riveting T.V!

It comes as no surprise that I would be attracted to other renegades later on life. Could it be that I am a rebel with a cause?

Like Clara Burton, American Civil War Nurse, Founder of the American National Red Cross, 1821-1912 “I have an almost complete disregard of precedent and a faith in the possibility of something better. It irritates me to be told how things always have been done ... I defy the tyranny of precedent. I cannot afford the luxury of a closed mind. I go for anything new that might improve the past.”

Well the story of Ann Sieg – the renegade network marketer and I, with its many plot twists, turns and suspense filled cadences does not disappoint! I have never been one to accept the status quo.

Rollo May, the great American Existentialist Psychologist and author of Man's Search for Himself, said, "The opposite of courage is not cowardice but rather conformity. May defines ordinary as refuge in conformity and traditional values. Keeping in mind these definitions, Ann Sieg – The Renegade Network Marketer is neither a conformist nor ordinary.

Ann Sieg, is perhaps the greatest whistle blower that ever lived! You gotta love her huztpah! It really does take a renegade, to bring forth such a work as the renegade network marketer!

When I met Ann Sieg, I was involved at the time in Melaleuca, part of the Mom’s Win Team that was spear headed by Arian Reed (mom’s win has long since disbanded, and it’s founder Ariana Reed was unceremoniously discharged from Melaleuca, it still remains unclear what happened, the rumor mill speaks of unethical practices? But the jury is still out!)

The business model was buy leads, do 100 dials/day, set 12-15 appointments and get the potential customers to the presentations that were going to be conducted by chosen (there is some time of leadership points awarded).

I was working two jobs, and bareley eekeing out an existence! Mind you I was a college graduate, making close to minimum wage. I was also working as a Research Assistant as I entertained thoughts of pursuing a graduate degree. While doing all this I was trying to build a home based network marketing business!

I had been at it for 8 months, my now show rate was 100%, the most I ever made was $2 and 45 cents! The best I heard from my upline was double book, triple book, keep at it you are doing well. Could somebody please tell me how two dollars and 45 cents is doing well! I wasn’t looking for overnight success, but it would have been nice to see some results!

I remember the night clearly, the night that ann sieg - the renegade network marketer would refer to as breaking point from hence forth, crying in desperation. I could not see myself carrying on. I had developed a vile reaction to the phone. I was just a miserable wretch. I just could not shake off the feeling that there had to be a better way. At the time I was living in Utah, the capital city of the Mormons, and the cradle of Network Marketing. I knew from first experience that fortunes could be made in the industry. My warm market was very small and comprised fellow college mate not business minded.

On this night, when I was about to throw out the baby with the bath water, I got the distinct impression to go online. And so I went to google and put in a very simple question. Does network marketing work? To my surprise on the top of the organic section was a site responded to the T to my question. At the time didn’t understand the concept of search enginge optimization and buyer psychology and all that fun marketing stuff that they tell you you don’t need to know to build a successful business!

The truth about the renegade marketer, is that she was a God send to me! So after putting in what I know were keywords, my perfectly, optimized website comes up. I was flabbergasted at best! I wasn’t quite sure what had happened, either I had paid the price for success and the gods were smiling down on me or I had finally taken leave of my sound mind! Tired, worn out, dejected, I chalked it up to the effects of a frenzied mind, shut down my computer, called it a night!

Following day I woke up and repeated my black magi google experiment! Same thing happened. For 21 days I kept going back to this site. I will admit the reason that I found myself in the mess that was my home-based business was directly related to lack of due diligence. The lure of bags of money had got to me like it does so many in the industry. I had conducted little research and well I was now reaping the results of my actions.

You know what they say, once bitten, twice shy! I was not about to repeat that mistake. I took my time (now I know that buying cycle run 21 days so I wasn’t an anormaly) I had through this single step joined the ranks of the successful!

I took the plunge and thought, I have come this far, what more do I have to loose? I signed up for the free offer. A few days later I received a package from the lady who would one day become the renegade marketer! I listened to the CD I got.
