In the Midst of All the Renegade Controversy......

At first I, too, was a bit put off by the title of the first book I read by Ann Sieg. After all, The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing is a very provocative title and concept. But it does grab the attention and that's what I think Ann is doing. She is grabbing the attention of the reader and establishing right off who she is addressing - frustrated, tired and worn out Network Marketers who still cling to the dream of residual income but also see it wayyyy wayyy out on the horizon in spite of years of hard work.

The tack taken is one of no-holds-barred in-your-face thrashing of traditional "go tell it on the mountain" word-of-mouth network marketing methods that have been the ONLY way utilized and taught for going on 60 years now in the Network Marketing Industry. Not only does Ann Sieg consider these old school methods antiquated but she calls these teachings down right lies for the average networker.

Now, I personally would not have taken such a drastic stand and wouldn't have bashed the industry quite so hard. After all, there are more millionaires made through network marketing businesses the way it is traditionally taught than by any other industry.

But I am Ann Sieg's target market.

I, too, was tired, frustrated, and worn out seeking the holy grail of financial freedom and retirement security with Old School network marketing methods. I am a veteran of about 15 network marketing companies in about that many years. And I didn't hop around, either. I gave many of them, years and sometimes thousands of dollars to make them work. All because I believe in the dream and I also have the dread of Social Security going bankrupt on the older baby boomers cashing in before my age group comes of age to benefit.

I loved this book. It gave me hope.

Not because of the negative bashing but because Ann Sieg gives a solution to all the problems posed and ultimately comes out with a positive spin on Network Marketing again! She outlines the answer as being found on the internet. That all the so called "lies" can be erased by a new method of network marketing online called "Attraction Marketing".

Attraction marketing is erasing the old school way of approaching the customer to make a sale and instead attracting the customer so that they come to you, the networker, or coach to buy. This is a completely reversed process of thinking, doing, and being and it challenges many who like it done the old way.

This is the 21st Century, and it is time for Network Marketing to join the information revolution taking place over the Internet.

In fact, a new word has been invented to define Internet Network Marketing - it is called "InterNetwork Marketing" because it combines Internet marketing with Network Marketing. And it is catching on, fast!

Lisa,

Very well written. Thank you for putting your positive perspective on this topic.

I really believe some of the old school marketers simply don't see value in a new way of doing business because the old way has worked very well for them. So they can't see the value in pursuing Ann Sieg's suggested method of marketing - especially since as you state, she so boldly blasted them and offended them straight out of the gate!

But all of the great advancements throughout history were intially met with resistance. I'm sure we are seeing the same thing today with Ann Sieg's book.

Keep up the good work.

Pam

Nicely balanced-Lisa and Vicki. Written part is also well done. You paint a very powerful picture about someone who has very strong belief. It's about time someone has some REAL solutions.

I am a believer in a little of both approaches-WHERE to get an endless supply of leads, but still contacting them by phone once in your system. I don't believe in the strictly automated approach because I am a people person. That's where Michael Oliver comes in. I love his laid back approach, but no-nonsense approaach-which is based on the law of attraction. He's helped me a lot to reframe my thinking.

Have a great day!
