Have an evening party with some inexpensive rented street lamps, silver and black balloons, soft candles, soft music, wine, food, family, and good friends.

Prom Again

If the couple is up in age and actually went to prom together when they were young, let them have their prom again. Do the same theme, play the same music, and if possible, invite the same friends that were there. If they never went to prom together, this is the time to do so. They'll love it.

Remember that anniversaries are memorable, special, and can be sensitive. Take the time to really consider the couple and cater to their likes or dislikes. Do they both like to read? You could have an author's tea time where the couple and the guest all bring either something they wrote or something that is a favorite to read aloud to the other guest. Just think what the couple would like to do and do it.
