Anoretix for Weight Loss: Is it Safe?

Ingredients that curb the appetite, metabolize fat, and slow down fat production overall can all be found in diet pills today. Anoretix aims to help with weight management by using nine of today's leading fat burning and appetite suppressing ingredients.

The connotations of ‘anorexia' in the name of these pills are there for a reason - these pills may be some of the most powerful diet pills available on the market today, and may pose many health risks to the average dieter.

Still, Anoretix is made with a weight loss formula that may help many individuals lose large amounts of weight; unfortunately, the pills may not be as safe as the makers of Anoretix promote them to be. Here's what you need to know about Anoretix:

The Nine Ingredients in Anoretix

Anoretix is made with the following nine ingredients:

• Chromium Nicotinate (known as ChromeMate) that helps to convert sugar into energy, and may also help with the conversion of protein to muscle. It is a trademarked formula (not patented) that is not regulated or approved by the FDA.

• Coleus forskohlii (known as ForsLean) that the makers of these diet pills suggest, will help with fat loss and fat burning. This is an herbal leaf derivative, and there is little information available that suggests this ingredient has an active role in fat loss.

• AdvantraZ: this is a patented extract found in many leading diet pills on the market. It is a powerful ingredient that helps suppress the appetite, and may even stimulate the metabolism.

• Super Citrimax (HCA): HCA is another ingredient that may help with fat burning and appetite control, and may even increase serotonin levels. This in itself can provide a boost in mood, and make dieting and weight management much easier overall. Super Citrimax is another ingredient found in many weight loss pills today and does help the dieter looking to reduce cravings and suppress the appetite.

• Tonalin: Tonalin is included to reduce the amount of fat that is converted and stored in the body. Still, there is limited research available that suggests how powerful this conversion process is, and whether it can take care of large amounts of fat in the diet.

• NeOpuntia: a natural fiber supplement that can bind to fat molecules so they are not absorbed by the body. This is a vegetable-based formula that is becoming another popular ingredient for fat blockers on the market today. Still, there are some uncomfortable side effects of taking this supplement.

• Phase 2: this non-stimulant formula is designed to neutralize starch and reduce the chances of absorption. It works in a similar way as many carb blockers on the market, making it difficult for the body to break down glucose and make use of that energy.

• 7-Keto: This is a farily new addition to the diet pill lineup in recent years, and promises to boost the body's metabolism without the side effects of most harsh stimulants. It is not clear what exactly 7-Keto is made of, but it is an alternative to synephrine and ephedra-like substances prevalent on the market today.

• Bioperine: This ingredient is also found in many diet pills today as it helps with absorption of all nutrients. Most diet pills contain a combination of bioperine, Vitamin C, and caffeine to increase absorption, but Anoretix just contains a high concentration of Bioperine alone.

Potential Side Effects of Anoretix

Anoretix may seem like the next ‘miracle pill' for those interested in substantial weight loss, but the pills have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration, and are not backed by any formal clinical trials, studies, or research. The Anoretix website simply shows ‘research' and reports from various studies linked to each ingredient, and not the overall effects of the drugs. Even these reports are limited in scope, and are based on very random tests conducted over the past ten years.

Potential side effects of carb blockers, appetite suppressants, and fat blockers include:

• Erratic blood sugar levels

• Gastrointestinal discomfort

• Constipation

• Extreme weight loss that results in fatigue and dangerously low weight

• Low levels of natural fat production that leads to dry skin, poor hair and nail health, and fatigue

• Difficulty sticking with a healthy meal plan

• Difficulty concentrating and focusing due to lack of nutrients and sugar in the body

• Elevated heart rate

• Anxiety

• Nausea

Is Anoretix Better than Alli, Orovo, and other Potent Diet Pills?

Anoretix is one of the newer weight loss pills on the market, and does contain many ingredients found in pills such as Alli and Orovo individually. Since it also contains synephrine-based ingredients, it also presents the problem of dependency. Many people who turn to deit pills containing stimulants have difficulty stopping taking them after the weight is lost; synephrine may be habit forming, and is being investigated by many researchers and consumer interest groups.

Alli capsules work in a similar ways a the ‘Phase 2' ingredient in Anoretix, but Alli has been approved for uses. Still, it is too soon to tell whether simply blocking carbohydrates is a permanent solution for weight loss, and the actual amount of ‘Phase 2' in Anoretix has not been tested for results.

Orovo diet pills have quickly become a popular choice for many dieters, and doesn't contain any synthetic ingredients at all. Orovo is made with ‘superfoods' extracts instead, but promises similar results as Anoretix and Alli.

Bottom Line: Although Anoretix is such a powerful formula, there is very limited information available on the short-term and long-term side effects of its nine ingredients. The average person taking these pills will experience a number of effects immediately, and there is not enough clinical research to support the claims made by the makers of the pills. Most people will experience many side effects, especially if they have a history of poor health, are at risk for diabetes, or if they are taking other medication.

Eating a healthy diet and exercising aren't even a part of the ‘Anoretix' plan, and these are two of the most important tools for any dieter.

One little correction is in order. It is not correct to say that chromium nicotinate is not regulated by the FDA. Likewise, it is a common misconception to say that supplements are not regulated by the FDA.

Indeed they are regulated. That is why the FDA is called "The FOOD and Drug Adminsistration." They have regulatory powers over supplements. So does the FTC.

The FDA does not approve or disapprove ingredients that are Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS). There is no need to approve them because they are generally regarded as safe.

The best to you.

I purchased one bottle of Anoretix two days ago. Here are two reviews on anoretix (and many other diet pills) that I found to be helpful. The second link includes personal comments:

great article. I think its important to know what you're taking before you begin swallowing pills.

Since I have not yet received Anoretix more than 7 business days after shipping, and have no response from repeated inquiries to their customer service department, I can only assume the entire product is a scam. DO NOT ORDER ANORETIX,

Thank you for this informative hub. There is no shortage of "solutions" for weight loss, and the more information people have at their disposal, the better.

Based on the research I did for a hub we recently posted on weight loss surgery, I found that specific types of weight loss surgery (namely, those involving laparoscopic procedures and gastric banding) are the only true *safe* and *effective* means for weight loss, assuming a person cannot get results from eating less and exercising more (which is obviously the best way!). I am always wary of pills that promise weight loss...only because the research does not seem to back up the claims on their potential for success.

I ordered Anoretix 3 days ago and i received it today, i was so suprised it got here so fast, i have recently took Orovo, and i did great, i lost 12 lbs in a month. Which for me is pretty darn good! But i wanted to search around and try other products, i have not started Anoretix yet but i will be sure to let you know how it goes.

I think it all depends on your situation. If you are between 20-30 pounds overweight then you would do well to stick to traditional methods like diet and exercise.

If you need to lose a lot weight you could consider taking tablets. It all depends if the risk of side effects from taking tablets is going to be less than staying in your current situation, only you or your doctor can make that decision.

Speaking about doctors, make sure he/she is aware of what you are planning to take and evaluates any potential risks.

At the end of the day any drug you put into your body can potentially cause harm and every drug will have some sort of side effect regardless how small or how big.

Don't just read the ads for these products.Make sure you do your research before making a decision.

Hi, I just wanted to send a message about Anoretix. I bought a bottle of this Anoretix a couple weeks ago, I just finished having a baby 2.5 months ago and am trying everything to lose weight. I tryed the pills today, I took exactly as prescribed on the bottle. After the second doseage, I started to feel nauseous and figured it was from the brocolli I had for lunch. A little while later I felt breathless, I was feelingf like I was struggling to breath. After a couple hours of this, I started to feel numb in my hands, the numbness went up my arms, into my chest face, lips, legs, everywhere. I was terrified. We called 911, by that time I was completely numb, my hand seized up and my chest had an immense pressure. The paramedic said that there is no FDA rating on these types of pills and could contain anything, he said my body was reacting to the pill and therefore caused my side effects, it makes your heart beat faster, and in turn your metabolism work quicker. He said these types of pills are like a version of speed and very dangerous. My side effects slowly started to diminish and now 3 hours after the paramedics left I am starting to feel better, still a little breathless, but better. I just wanted to warn everyone aboutt these and anyother similar pills. I learned my lesson and I will NEVER take any of these pills or any diet pills ever again.

2 weeks on Anoretix already and guess what? DID NOT LOSE EVEN 1 GRAM!!! Nothing! AT ALL!!!

I take the 2 first pills when I wake up (I drink the recommended 20 oz water with it). Then while I wait patiently for a least 30 mn before eating breakfast, i become nauseous. After 30 mn I realize I am not hungry. But I still eat a light breakfast. Generally a cup of tea or coffee with a piece of bread, a croissant, or 2 eggs, or just coffee/tea (remember, I am not feeling hungry.

As the hours pass, I am not hungry, I am not hungry.... I take the second 2-pill dose and wait for lunch time. Darn! I am still NOT hungry! But I force myself to eat a light lunch (salad or sauteed vegetable, hard boiled eggs or little piece of fish, meat once in a while).

I am still nauseous. And by the way, I am bloated AND constipated!!! I drink water (and tea) to try to flush out the waste. But (forgive me if I reapeat myself) I am CONSTIPATED!!!

Oh well, I am now done for the day taking the pills. At least, I haven't had any unusual fast heartbeat and I am neither tired or more "hyper" than usual. Well, being constipated is not helping me feeling energetic either!

As the evening unwinds, I start feeling hungry (finally). I eat a reasonable dinner (generally veggie soup with a little piece of whole wheat bread). I become restless at wanting to munch at something every 5 minutes (I try to drink water, I avoid buying tempting foods, eat a pice of fruit) But Gosh I am HUNGRY!!!!!

There are no sodas, not junk food in my house, no candies, no chips, no wine, no beer (no alcohol of any sort), no fruit juices (I make my own, no sugar added) My only sin is an occasional chocolate croissant or apple turnover. I have cravings for coffee and chocolate but I avoid these 2 like the plague. I don't take ANY medications. My only health problem (at 53 years old) is chronic sciatica but it doesn't stop me from exercising.

I ride my bike for 20 mn minimum every day. I take dance class 3 times a week.

I don't know what I am I doing wrong, but ANORETIX DOESN'T WORK FOR ME (SO FAR)

i just started taking anoretix yesterday. i recieved it in four days, which is pretty damn good considering i live in canada and ordered from the US. i have been reading horrible things about people not being able to contact the company for a refund, so i decided to send a bogus email just to see. i wrote that i wasn't happy and wanted a refund. i sent the email at 5:oopm yesterday, and got a response by 9:30pm yesterday saying that they were sorry to hear it didn't work, and that most people see results within two weeks but it can take three to four weeks for some. they also gave me detailed instructions on how to go about getting my refund. so for anyone having problems contacting them, your not doing it right. you have to send an email to the address listed on there site. i ordered the pills with caffien, and am taking the minimum dose, because i am sensitive to caffien(don't drink coffee or anything) i took couple pills yesterday around 1:00pm, and found that it took a REALLY long time for me to feel like i wasn't on a caffiene high. i wanted to go to bed at ten, but still had WAY too much eneregy. other than that, no side effects. my starting weight is 137lbs. and i need to lose about 25lbs. i will try to exercise alittle, but not too crazy. i'll keep posting if i am losing any weight.

My sister in law started taking anoretix a month ago. I wanted to try them, but figured I would wait and see how they work for her. She called me today and she has lost 22 pounds in one month. They seem to be working for her well, I will be giving it a try. By the way, the only side affect she had in the beginning was migrains, she said, she no longer has them though.

Kelley, sorry but you're incorrect. The FDA doesn't regulate natural supplements or its ingredients, it's pretty common knowledge. They only pay attention to it if people began reporting too many side effects (think Hydroxycut recall) and only ban ingredients that are found to be too unsafe.

I bought 2 months supply of Anoretix and followed a clean diet and moderate exercise routine. I did not lose any weight. The company claims to have a money back guarantee:

(as found on their website)

"Does ANORETIX Come with a Money Back Guarantee?

Yes! ANORETIX comes with a no-nonsense LIFETIME money back guarantee.

So go ahead and order this revolutionary product today. If you use ANORETIX and somehow fail to get your money's worth you can return your one empty bottle (we want you to use all of our amazing formula) and your additional bottles in resalable and undamaged condition, for a prompt and courteous refund (less shipping). You would be crazy not to at least try ANORETIX with a ZERO RISK return policy like this!"

They did not send me any bill of sale or anything with the bottles so I had no proof I purchased them to get this "money back guarentee". I emailed the company numerous times with no response. SCAM!! Do not buy this product.
