I didn't write this to help people with eating disorders....I am sharing my personal experience and opinions.
I find this extremely offensive. Try telling cancer patients how stupid they're being, and see what kind of reaction you get.
I made a note on facebook and got flamed for being pissed at the stupidity of anorexics that were NOT biologically/physiologically driven
Loved your post !
That was a good comment Maddie. To make it more clear to you: Stay out of the sun, don't eat anything with chemicals in it, don't smoke, check yourself regulary!
If you might have the tendency to be anorexic evoid this: - Peoply who try to control you- Move or run away from home because your family is troubled- Make sure that you won't be teased or ridiculed on size or weight (Well I guess that means you can't eat all you like)- Don't watch tv, surf on the internet nor read books or magazines. - And he.. kill yourself when you find out you have a bigger tendency than normal people to get anorexia if it's biological.
It's easy to judge people when you don't know the facts and even if you do: It's easy to judge people when you yourself have never been in that situation before!Try to think about what you post next time!
Gods Bless
This post just really makes me sad for you, the author....As an anorexic I can't begin to tell you how hurt I am by reading this...you call us stupid, and using anorexia as a means to get attention. I really think you should educate yourself on this disease BEFORE you ever write something about it again....first of all most anorexics hide there problem and do not speak of it at all....me personallly, I wore sweaters all the time to hide my wasting away body...82 pounds. In NO way was I trying to get attention, if I were then I would make a spectacle of myself and talk about my problem all the time....something I never did. Your comment on how we are stupid really upsets me. THink about it, if your mom or close friend had anorexia I think you would feel VERY different about this subject. I really hope you realize how hurtful your words are...I'm not angry at you...I just feel sad for you that you have absolutely no idea what I go througheach and every day trying to survive, yet you say these awful things...I pray that you will one day mature and regret writng thes hateful things. God bless
Great defense mechanism....

I think it's hard to expect ill people to respond rationally. I share the frustration and have struggled with how to interact with mentally sick people.
My feeling is if you're sick, take your medicine, if you are starving yourself, eat. It turns out for the ill people it's not that simple.
A close anorexic friend of mine when I was younger recieved a box of sausage from her grandfather for Christmas. Do you think she ate them?
