"A video is often more efficient than 20 000 words" : It used to be, quite often, the answer I was given when I was looking for specific information. I often needed to have further explanations, like drawings, graphics, video files, especially when I was looking for a "how to".

Even in specialized sites or forums, I noticed that users were often unable to give me a correct answer when I needed one. Of course, the information included in their sayings was (most of the time) true, and was (most of time) sufficient for somebody looking for a simple answer.

Things changed when I needed more explanations: an audio or video file would really have been perfect, for those cases. But, unfortunately, all the sites and forums I met were unable to display it.

I would not say that my life changed when I met Anova, but, at least, this software completely fulfilled my needs about answer-website soft wares. You are not only asking questions or giving answers: you are, above all, sharing knowledge. Creating interaction between users, creating a real answering community... All these dreams became true.

The only bad point is that Anova is yet much less popular than Yahoo answer. Even if Anova has many advantages, compared to this software (more customization, much more interactivity, ...), a huge percentage of the people who want to ask a question on the web, or to give some answers, are still using Yahoo answers. To some extent, I can understand it: nothing to install, ready to use, looking like quite simple, in fact, Anova is also really simple to use, fully customizable,... to put it in a nutshell, it has almost all the main features of Yahoo answers, but it allow you to share the knowledge in an interactive way. And this is probably the more important thing for a question/answer software!

Do not hesitate too much if you are a webmaster and if you want to run an efficient knowledge-sharing site: use Anova's script!
