Antigua - A Little Bit of Paradise

Are you planning a holiday in Antigua or the Caribbean? Would you like to find out what it's really like from someone who lives there? I propose a series of hubs to describe the reality of life in Antigua that you may not get from the travel brochures!
Yes we have some lovely beaches and almost year round sunshine but we are also a poor country making a precarious living from tourism with little else to sustain the population. We have some wealthy residents with huge luxurious mansions but many poor people struggling to make a living. Many tourists come on all-inclusive packages and stay in their resort for the whole time they are here with little benefit to local taxi drivers, restaurants and vendors.
Perhaps if our visitors had a clear idea of the country before they come they would travel around more, see some of the out-of-the-way sites and enjoy their holiday more.
