Antioxidant Foods
49Foods with Antioxidants
Antioxidants are a very important part to any healthy diet. They are some wonderful substances that can aid in reducing the effects of aging, wrinkling, heart problems, among many other uses. The best part is that most foods that are rich in antioxidants are also delicious. You just need to figure out how to incorporate them into your eating regime each day.
As a rule of thumb, most foods that are purple or red have high levels of antioxidants. Some examples of this are blueberries and acai berries. Another great source of antixoidants are tomatoes. If you are an Italian, this shouldn't be an issue, but if not, you may want to have that weekly pasta dinner with marinara.
If you are looking for a lower calorie option, you may want to consider green tea. If you avoid spoonfuls of sugar, this is a healthy beverage that can deliver those golden antixoidants to your system.
If you must indulge, do so with something rich like dark chocolate or frisky like red wine. Both of these have their fair share of antioxidant power, teaching an important lesson - it's okay to treat yourself every now and then.
If we all could just put a few more minutes here and there to think and make smarter decisions about our diet, we would all be able to achieve our weight loss goals. It always helps, though, when you have some support, so find a partner and get on the road to a healthier life!
