If you’ve tired of suffering from this there are measures you can take to treat it which are all natural, here are just a few:
1. Yoga
If you’re suffering from an anxiety sleep disorder, you need to engage in as many relaxing activities as you can to change your overall mind state. One of the best practices you can engage in is Yoga. This will not only stretch and relax your body, but it will relax your mind and spirit as well. If you practice this on a daily basis, you will find it easier and easier to remain in a relaxed state throughout the day. There are definitely no shortage of Yoga classes out there so search for one in your area.
2. Deep Breathing
Another thing you can try is some deep breathing. Breathing can have a profound affect on you if you have an anxiety sleep disorder. Just take a long deep breath in for 7 seconds, hold for a bit, then exhale for a full 11 seconds. Repeat this process over and over and you will soon feel your body enter a different state, a more relaxed state.
If you practice this every night before you go to bed, you’ll find it easier to drift off to sleep.
3. Listen to Calming Tapes
Another way to deal with your anxiety sleep disorder is to play some relaxing tapes at night to help you fall asleep. You can actually buy tapes specifically designed for this purpose. You can get tapes that play calming sounds of water trickling over rocks, that always works, or even just a peaceful melody. Play it gently in the background and it will help you enter a more relaxed state in which sleep comes more naturally.
4. Visualize
Another thing you can do while listening to the tapes above is to begin visualizing yourself in a more peaceful setting. See yourself on a beach overlooking the sea with palm trees all around you, swaying gently in the warm tropical breeze. Then pick up the gentle scent of the waves as they crash upon the shoreline and really feel the rays from the sun as they beat down and bathe you, soothe you in their warming energy.
Now don’t tell me that’s not relaxing. Try it! It’s best to try all of these techniques together though as you will definitely see results that way, good luck!
