The easiest, quickest and freshest apple pie that you have ever had in your life!

This is not your everyday apple pie. It is a simple and delicious twist on the apple pie that is yummy and healthy. So let’s take a look at the recipe.

What you need to get when you go to the grocery store

1 package of pie crusts, pre-made, for a total of 2 pie crusts.

6 medium to large sized apples of your favorite type of apple (I like the red delicious variety, but many people also like granny smith)

1⁄2 of a cup of chunky apple sauce, unsweetened please.

3 tablespoons of splenda

Cinnamon and nutmeg

What you should do: lay down your crust into your favorite pie tin. Then put down a thin layer of apple sauce. Take your apples and slice them thinly. Sprinkle lightly the splenda for baking. Keep doing this until you have filled the tin. Depending on how thin you have sliced the apples you can get anywhere between 5 and 10 layers in your pie. Sprinkle on a light dusting of cinnamon and nutmeg then top your pie with the second pie crust. Then put 4 to 5 one inch slits in the top and close the pie edges by pressing them, down with a fork (often called camping) cover the rim with tin foil, loosely and heat your oven to 375 degrees and slide your pie into the oven for 35 to 40 minutes. The crust should be golden brown and the filling should give when you poke a butter knife into it. If you want to preserve the appearance of your pie, use one of the slits in the top of the pie. Then allow to cool and enjoy.

The taste will be a little different than what you would normally think an apple pie would taste like; but it is good, and much lower in fat than a normal pie filling
