Apple has launched its highly coveted gadget in the market, switch on the TV and this seems to be the news that has got me excited. Being launched in the US market it comes in two variations, 16GB for $199, and 32GB for $299. If you are wondering as to what the S stands for it is the Speed that is distinct than its prior models. According to Apple it is the fastest, fastest, most powerful iPhone yet. If you do not own the prior models you surely will fall in love with it.

From the design perspective the prior iPhone users will not find a major difference as it has the same look and appeal. What are the distinguishing features that are setting it apart has to be the speed factor. Like the name suggests Data speeds are upped to 7.2Mbps HSDPA. In a nutshell it is all that you dreamed of with a faster speed and a video camera with better editing, voice dialing and voice command, built-in compass along with the standard features of an iPhone

Ok first things first, if you don’t have an iPhone earlier then this are your best shot. If you have an earlier model then it is totally a personal choice to purchase it. Here is a comparison of the features they offer in both the models-

The first factor prior to any purchase has to be its cost, and it is a lot for your pocket. $199 for 16 GB and $299 for 32 GB; where as iPhone are just 99$.

The second best thing is the camera, well talking about camera if you were not using the inbuilt camera in your previous iPhone then it does not make a major difference for you. For those who love taking pictures on the fly, this has a lot to offer with 3 mega pixels, auto focus and video recording facility with editing options. The earlier version just had a 2 mega pixel camera.

When purchasing any mobile its Battery life will play a major role in making the final choice. If you are a business professional and want to keep up for a long time then there is some good news for you as this model has a life up to 12 hours and a nine hour life if on wi-fi which is a major plus when surfing for stocks or important information.

According to Apple the iPhone 3G S will come out in the major countries not later than 19 June 2009. The rest of the countries will follow suite on 09 July and 09 August, I just confirmed from a local store here in India it would be launched somewhere near 18 August. I am sure it will live up to its stupendous launch we are planning to buy it as we are currently looking for a higher end model since long and were waiting for its launch. Currently pretty thrilled by its look and going to buy the black model just cannot wait to lay my hands on it just wish the cost would be less other than that it is on my top list.
