Apple Kutchen The perfect dessert

My mother-in-law brought a delicious apple desert called Apple Kutchen to Thanksgiving dinner. I'd never had anything like this before; it is delicious! I think it might be a German dish. This is a quick easy version using a cake mix for the crust. I've never tried it but I bet this would be great with peaches, too.

Apple Kutchen

1 box yellow cake mix

1/2c. butter

1can apple pie filling or 2 cups thinly sliced fresh apples

1c. sour cream

½ c. sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 egg

Pre heat oven to 350º. Cut butter into the yellow cake mix until fine and crumbly. Press into ungreased 9x13 pan. Bake 10 minutes. Arrange apple pie filling or fresh sliced apples on top of crust. Mix sour cream, sugar, cinnamon and egg well. Pour evenly over the apples. Bake 25 minutes in a fully preheated oven. Do not over bake. The center will look just a little soft. Serve warm or cold. Should be kept in the refrigerator.
