Apple iPhone Store Credit Issued

Apple has issued the $100 credit it promised for owners who purchased iPhones at full price $599 and $499 for 8GB and 4GB iPhones respectively. To be eligible for this electronic one should have purchased this phone before August 22 cut off date.

If you are eligible, follow these steps as outlined at Apple:

Step 1: Identify your iPhone

Enter your phone number and iPhone serial number in the fields provided.

Step 2: Enter your access code

Apple will send the SMS text message with an access code, which you have to use to verify your identity given in Step 1. Then you visit the Apple link again, you will be asked to enter the phone number and the access code to redeem this $100 electronic credit.

Step 3: Get your $100 Apple Store credit

Your $100 credit will be issued, which you can use to purchase products at either the Apple Retail Store or at the Apple Online Store. You can also store it in your account for future purchase which may have a deadline date.

I bought one iPhone for my friend overseas, I tried the above method; don’t know whether Apple will give credit because it doesn’t have AT&T number. If I get the credit for my friend, I will post it here.

If you are not elgible, Apple gives the following reasons:

We're sorry, but we can't locate a record of your iPhone. It could be that you've entered the requested information incorrectly. If so, please try entering it again. If the information is correct, there are several reasons why you could have recieved this message: 1. Your iPhone was purchased at the new, reduced price and is not eligible for a $100 Apple Store credit. 2. You have not activated your iPhone. You must activate your iPhone before we can process your credit. 3. You recently activated your iPhone. It may take up to 24 hours after you register your iPhone before we can process your request. After activating your phone and receiving your activation confirmation, please return to this site to receive your Apple Store credit.
