Is Applebees Nutrition Information False?

Applebees nutrition information that you see on their menu might actually be completely false. As a matter of fact the Weight Watchers nutritional information that Applebees provides might be off by as much as double of what is reported. Independent testing has show that some of the Applebees nutritional information they provide is really double what was found by labs that tested the food.

This has led Applebees to get in some hot water over the nutritional information they provide. There is a pending lawsuit again Applebees nutrition information and it seems to be gaining some steam. Though there may be some problems with Applebees it is not for us to decide and it will be decided in court.

Applebees however has made an effort to provide nutritional information on many of it's meals. Let's take a look at some of their most common meals and the nutritional information Applebees provides.

Applebees Nutrition Info for Low Fat Chicken Quesadilla

The Low-Fat Chicken Quesadilla is a chipotle flavored chicken breast smothered in non-fat cheeses, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and jalapenos. This delicious dish has just over 742 calories of which 126 calories come from fat.

These low-fat quesadillas have 14 grams of total fat with 0 grams of saturated fat. Little or no sodium, and 89 grams of carb and 65 grams of protein. Yum is all I can say about this dish.

Applebees Grilled Tilapia Nutritional Information

The Tilapia with Mago Salsa and Rice is one of my favorites at Applebees. The nutritional information on this really tasty dish is as follows:

There are 320 calories of which 54% are from fat. This is truly a low fat dish coming in at 6 grams of fat. Total carbohydrates is 27 grams with protein at 40 grams.  The dietary fiber on this dish is 9 grams.

If you are in the mood for one of the better dishes at this restaurant than I do recommend you order this one. You won't be disappointed, and the nutritional value is as good as you'll find at Applebees.

Be aware of Applebees nutrition info

In conclusion I just want to point out the it doesn't matter where you are dining if nutritional information is important to you you need to be aware that the information is available. Applebees does a good job of providing nutritional information for their meals in spite of the lawsuit against them. In my opinion that lawsuit if trivial and should be thrown out.

So whether you are on a diet to lose or gain weight, or whether you just want to konw what you are eating than stay informed and do read nutrition labels and information.
