Aquarius: The sign associated with change & invention

For those born under the sign of Aquarius
Before going into this writeup, I'm going to make an assumption that you - the reader... is either curious or have some understanding about your horoscope, astrology and the stars associated with your sign.
So, this writeup is merely an application of my observations in the real world upon reading the material involved in regards to Aquarius. So what you'll get general characteristics that I have studied on meeting with a lot of people and by merely asking them for their date of birth.
Firstly, just studying information about your sunsign isn't merely enough... as you have to draw out the entire horoscope with a professional astrologer to get the complete picture. But since most people are familiar with the idea of a 'sunsign' rather than going through a detailed map of psyche which involves reading your horoscope, I'll do my best to provide you 5 values that I have noticed about my very favorite sunsign of all: Aquarius.
There's one thing about Aquarians, their ability to gather knowledge to an extent of being walking encyclopedias, hence their source of true happiness lies in the quote: "I know, therefore I am".
Characteristic #1: Asking the question 'why'
Almost every Aquarian you meet, will at some point or the other in his life... begin to ask the question 'why'. To say that Aquarians are psychological people and are uncomfortable with emotion is the understatement of the day! They even intellectualize [read: analyze] their emotions due to the discomfort it causes (and ever since September 2007 most Aquarians would have gone through this).
Always up for an intellectual debate and conversation of a radical nature, you'll discover that the people you gravitate to are similar in nature although they don't have any preference about hanging out with particular set of friends. There's nothing that an Aquarian despises much more than 'stupidity' in people!
Characteristic #2: Opposing the Sun
In astrological circles, they say that the 'Sun' rules the sign of Leo... and since Aquarius is Leo's polar opposite (yes, most Aquarians fancy Leos in marriage winky wink)... this sign is opposed to the Sun's qualities of vitality, strength and romance. For one, this means that their sense of 'ego' is either opposed constantly or negligible compared to the other signs. At least, definitely lesser than the ego of any Leo or Arian, for example.
Physical strength is something that Aquarians are not known for either (some of them are sick during their childhood) and even though Valentine's Day is on February 14 (during the time when the Sun is in Aquarius), they're not necessarily known to be as romantic as Pisceans or Leos, for their independent ways...
Characteristic #3: Idealistic
I've known Aquarians who are very driven towards ideals that they fancy and to the abstract as opposed to Capricorns (who are enjoying success since January last year) who tend to rely on practical details.
In terms of what they value, altruism [unselfish concern] is on the top of their list meaning to say that they're committed to social causes which aren't profit-oriented while placing their friends and lovers on a pedestal, which can lead to disappointment sometimes.
Characteristic #4: Rebellious
Thanks to characteristic three, sometimes they're not given to accepting the reality of certain circumstances causing them to rebel rather than accept the situation for what it is. For example, in relationships, if their partner turns out to be less than ideal, they'll rebel and if it gets worse... they'll just leave while threatening to do so a few times (and suffer for it too) while other signs might compromise and work things out. Hence, they're not very good in marriages and romantic relationships due to their need for 'space' and a strong need to maintain their independence.
Characteristic #5: Money
They're not driven to earn money at all as compared to Taureans, Capricorns or Cancerians but would rather spend their time in inventing something good for mankind. Examples like Thomas Alva Edison, Charles Darwin, Steve Jobs and almost half the scientists in today's world are born under the sign of Aquarius.
If they do come across a fortune, it won't be because they worked towards it but due to creating something of great value that can be monetized.
One thing is for sure is that whatever they put their heart and soul into will also bring them great recognition in society, for profit or otherwise.
They're born to change the world... so if there's anything you can expect from them, it isn't stability... because in one way or another, either they will create change or will experience it through external circumstances! Many of them will experience extremes as their ruling planet is Uranus, the planet of upheavals and change.
So, in closing, these are some values that I've noticed amongst those born under the sign of Aquarius... so thanks for reading and if you are an Aquarian, this is your year, and by November, you'll agree with me if you've had the most torrid two years of your life! :)

Yay for Aquarians! I can't wait to see that prediction come true about it being our year - it's about time!!
I feel a big egocentric having enjoyed reading about myself SOO much haha. I'm surprised astrology hasn't been deemed a proven scientific theory, because all of these traits were pretty much dead on.... Minus the romance part... I happen to be hopelessly romantic :)
Thanks for the fun post!!
