Middle Eastern comedy has been on the rise over the last 3 or so years. This style of comedy is very unique in that it is 'racist' by definition as it scrutinizes the differences and perplexities faced by people of Middle Eastern origins adjusting to the turmoils of being minoriities in western cultures.

Recently, though a new form of Middle Eastern comedy is rising in a grass roots style movement across the Middle East where western born or western educated local comedians take the stage to scrutinize and comicize about the idiocricies and turmoils of living as a multi cultured psuedo westerner in the heart of an Arabic State.

Both forms of comedy are hugely hilarious, are willing to go where most other comedians aren't willing to go such as talks about racial profiling, terrorism and fanaticism. Overall, these comics all carry the same message of bridging the cultural gap, and hoping for a world where we can laugh at our differences rather than amplify them.
