Are There Online Scams?

I believe there are online scams everywhere that it's almost scaring me.  Not that I've been cheated before, but there sure have been those times when we've heard or read of someone being scammed.  It can be any forms at all; be it bank scams, survey scams, those that are from the Internet and a whole lot more.  Is there any way to avoid? Or would people keep on getting cheated.

What makes it being called like that? It's actually a moment whereby you invested your time and perhaps on some occasions, money, but end up not getting a cent in return.  Or your money gone, or your earnings forfeited and say, the whole site closes down or something.  Of course, this is hypothetically speaking and in general.  I have even heard worst.  Stuff like online frauds whereby there are lots of members losing money just like that.  It's actually sad; come to think of it and when you have become a victim, there's no turning back.  Sometimes when money is being invested without thinking about the consequences, a lot of things are at play.

There are of course, success stories that we can read in which they are not involved in any Internet money scams.  There are also those moments that when you tell your friends and they don't believe you, and it turns out they are not cheated at all.  It's like trying to find that dirt inside a pool of say water.  A tiny dirt.  It's quite hard, come to think of it.  So the only way is to avoid yourself from becoming a victim.

But at times, there are no precautionary signs and there's no way to know.  Try searching for stuff on search engines and you will get what I mean.  There's a truly fine line there; and you won't really know whether there are online frauds involved or not when you check out certain sites.  Most of them look very clean and legit.  And especially when there are real trusted and seemingly genuine members area on which they discuss their earnings and etc.  So you will know that you'll never get cheated that way and be involved in those online frauds that you think can only happen to others but not yourself.

Last but not least, try to have this thumb rule.  It works for me so far.  I never get involved in a site whereby I have to contribute money; that doesn't work for me and that has always been my style.  I never, ever make it a point to invest any tiny bits of money just to participate.  But of course, if you think that method doesn't suit you, by all means don't do so, and instead, follow your own style/logic/thinking.  No one's stopping.  This is my own personal rule that I abide by so as to save me from unnecessary worries.  Summarily, there's actually not a direct way to know of this.  You just have to take precautionary steps, research well and come out with your own best judgement.  Good luck to all.
