Are We Headed Into An Economical Depression

Everywhere we turn these day's, we are hearing about a possible depression about to hit our economy. Do you believe it? I am beginning to be inclined to believe it. After all, everywhere you turn prices are going up with no end in sight. It all seems to stem from the gas prices. When they go up, so does everything else. Every time my husband and I go food shopping, we are amazed at how much it costs us to buy groceries for a week. There is just the two of us plus two cats and we can't get out of the store for under $100.00 every week. Neither of us are huge eaters, but this is the way it is.

We are doing everything we can think of to cut back. We don't eat out. We have hobbies that are inexpensive or free. We like to bicycle ride and hike. We use our motorcycles as much as possible for transportation. We hang our clothes to dry, and so on. This summer, we are planting a veggie garden so we can have produce all winter. It is a lot of work, but it saves in the long run.

The only thing we have noticed that is not going up is our income. My husbands work is maxed in regard to his weekly income. There is no over time and no extras. Right now, while I'm writing this, it's raining, which means, he will probably be coming home early today. His work is outside right now and there is nothing inside. So, no work, no pay. That's the way it is.

I work for myself as a cosmetologist. My salon is in my house. I love working at home. Today, I've had two cancellations and that means no money coming in. I was talking to a friend about how this can happen from time to time and she asked me if I had ever looked into another way of creating income. I asked her what she meant.

She, of course was talking about network marketing. I told her that I would look at her business, but I was just doing it to be nice. I didn't want to get involved in anything. I figured an hour and a half out of my life, (to make her happy) was something I could handle.

Well, she showed up to my house with her business partner. They proceeded to show me their business opportunity. I have to tell you, it looked great! WOW, finally, a way to earn money on the side. I'll keep doing my hair dressing and work on my network marketing business just a few hours a week.
